7 通の返信Has anyone here actually said “Matterspark is fun!”? Cause I genuinely don’t know ANYONE who thinks it is lol. If it were as fast a sparrow, MAYBE I wouldn’t mind it as much. But it feels so damn slow.

The Metroid morph ball reskin with spider ball offensive taser and weaker mega bombs...ish mechanic is indeed underwhelming....but there's only so many ways to do things in a game that make sense.... But because good ideas can be "owned" or more specifically gate kept out of greed... There's a lot of things that could be in games that aren't because the royalties and "license" for the patents are thousands of dollars and it's stupid... Nintendo's not the only one who scrambles for ownership over basic things like throwing a ball or pinging a target or a better than average procedural boss mechanic like the nemesis system It's only a matter of time before every good idea to "belong" to some mega Corp and the only game that's going to be able to be made is a nonsensical hellscape of shapes

Yes materspark sucks! Bungie billed as this really cool retro gaming mechanic, and then made it so it was abusive and not fun to play. Integrated it into a confusing mess of puzzle mechanics and forced players to use to traverse paths of travel. All while making it a viewing nightmare to be in that mode. It does not jump or move in an easily controllable manner. They lost a ton of players, and are not listening to players that keep this game afloat. I for one did not spend a dime on this game and will not spend a dime on this game. Bungie lost my confidence in their design ability 4 expansion ago.

It took a bit of getting used to…once done, it was a bit hard to control sometimes, though it did prove useful now and then - especially if you’re getting zapped nonstop, a quick change to m-spark often saved the day. For jumping gaps and climbing obstacles, it was a pain to use…hard to control…not fun at all - especially if it caused a wipe! Having it as an instant option was useful…but I didn’t get it to its highest level due to lack of interest and the Neomuna Overtuna vibe…🥱 Someone mentioned why not use grapple instead…now, that would have been fun…but only if it was full-on zero cool-down Spidey web-slinging mode - for all 3x characters, and not just a regular Hunter grapple. Maybe they should include this asap - it would be a hoot! And whilst they’re at it, give us back our sparrow horns, too! 👈 That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY

1 返信I still don't understand why it exists. How many resources did they dump into a one time game mechanic for a small dlc? Imagine if we could only use grapple strand on neomuna, or only use skimmers during Guardian Games. Did Bungo have ANY plans for this? Who's in charge of game direction and why isn't there ANY consistency?

Some of the matterspark puzzles were enjoyable, at least for me, but I'm not sure I would say I enjoyed the majority of them. Destiny 2's greatest strength is in its fast, fluid, responsive gameplay; asking us to slow down and go through a tunnel to solve a puzzle to open a door to cross a bridge to unlock a computer to spawn a boss just isn't my idea of fun, that's not what drew me into D2 in the first place. No hate on people who love puzzles, I'm just not one of them.

3 通の返信Yeah it's pretty bad. Got stuck in the environment while on a mission & had to start over twice.
