That’s just not the truth of it. The reason Hunters mainly play void is because it’s the strongest subclass in PvP currently. We saw at the beginning of Ash and iron in PvP the solar throwing knife meta Hence its nerf Arc strider is very powerful and requires 0 skill on both arc and prismatic. Hence its nerf Strand Hunter is stilll very competitive in the sand box but the super just got the buff to survival it needed. The weakest currently is stasis but that on all classes. Just be realistic the hunter class is the dominate one for PvP as even stated by Bungie in the most recent articles to update the game in renegades.
