Stop getting content creators to promote your game
For god sake bungie didn’t you learn from the edge of fate with YouTubers promoting and marketing like seriously it’s your responsibility bungie to marketing your game not YouTubers seriously it’s how edge of fate flopped

12 通の返信If you watched aztecross video yesterday you can see he is only mainly allowed to promote game. He signed an nda which means he can only promote what hes allowed to promote. He said he had to cut 10 mins of his video. My guess is any negative thoughts. Datto was less caring and posted comments about his negative thoughts.

It has been kinda funny seeing all the Renegades videos on YouTube all of a sudden. The shills gonna shill for views…can’t fault them for it when the community gives them so much attention and pays their bills.

2 通の返信That’s the way the world roles today, I don’t like it either, but it’s what marketing is in 2025. Whether it’s Cookware, Guitars, video games… it’s the same pattern everywhere. For guitarists out here look at the roll out of content with the Helix Stadium release, same pattern. Some of them are more trustworthy than others. Cross is a persona, very entertaining, almost caricatural like a good Bond villain, but it’s hard to know if what you get is objective.

Just stop giving them attention . If they would get like 300 views and have 100 subs or whatever then no-one would listen to them , especially bungie . But no , hundreds of thousands are still watching them and supporting them by donating money for no reason . Tf is wrong with you people ? Right. They wine and dine "content creators" who monetize literally everything and treat them as delegates for the average player, which they are absolutely NOT. They literally have their heads up their rears ends at this point. Same M.O., same results. I'm gettin my Star Wars fix and I'm out. MY loyalty was to the Bungie Halo creators whom they fired and and forced out with their virtue signaling and other pretentious crap. This bunch won't even last another year. This is the end for them. Bu this time next year there won't even BE a Bungie.

11 通の返信I watched the Mr Fruit vid. He says it's just more of the same, not enough to tempt him back. I think this attempt has backfired. Nobody I know, who has stopped playing, is willing to spend more money on a game that went in a direction no one asked for. The reviews seem to be the same. There are some nice bits, but nothing near what the game needs. I'm tired of a power grind that doesn't matter. Always being less powerful than the constantly re spawning mobs of ads and power sponge bosses. Revive tokens. Timers. Locked loadouts. People have walked away for a reason and Bungie appear to think that space gambit is the answer. The novelty will wear off by Christmas.

I’ve been a gamer before many of you were even born. lol I worked on some the most advanced weaponry in the United States Navy. I used to be an Instructor / Consultant for Apple. I’ve worked for some of the most high tech companies here in Japan. I’m a grumpy old man that hates EVERYTHING and am extremely hard to impress. So if I say the game is good, you can be damn sure it’s really good! I’m not some YouTuber that if you can just dangle a pretty toy in front of and get a positive reaction. I’m going to rip it apart, see how it really plays when you’re not a God Tier gamer, and give it an honest, down in the trenches review based on someone who is just a slightly above average gamer that probably and more realistically represents a huge portion of the player base.

Unfortunately, gaming industry is in the same position as music industry was 20-25 years ago. The publishers have been replaced with sleazy content creators. While I like some genuine content creators, most of them are just promoting their views and likes and Bungie is fueling the band wagon for free promotion. The "content" is least of anyone's concern.

Make no mistake, these CCs were invited out over a month before they all disappeared for almost a week on their streams. The CCs (or the ones I watch) were prepping their base for an “upcoming family vacation” I do believe that the CCs and maybe a significant other was flown out to BHQ where they were subsequently wined and dined. The CCs were not brought out for consultation, indeed, it was already way to late to get any meaningful ideas or suggestions for a cake that was already baked, rather they were brought to get talking points and taught the hype for the new content. They were then told how to market it to people who trust their favorite CCs. That is actually brilliant. Bungie saves a ton of money by letting the CCs promote the “leaked” content to their communities. I am not a fan of how some CCs did it, why lie to grown people, who pay you by the way, about where you are going. Trust in the communities that are putting their trust in you. My personal opinion… -This move was pre planned and calculated by Bungie -Some CCs that went there are definitely more hyped than others. -The current player base (that’s left) will still form their own opinion after release and we can then see if the changes were boon or bust according to their own play. -There is only so much that this new expansion can do. I believe Bungie let things get way too bad before addressing the Marathon created elephant in the room. -I believe it may be too little too late for most that have already left. -Way too many new games dropped or dropping at this time. This leaves the dedicated fan base to play. I will still play, I have been around since D1 launched to much fanfare and hype. I guess the copeium is strong in me. I just love the game. It may just be nostalgia, Most of my friends have moved on (sadly, my best friend passed away last year) 🫡 try to enjoy it while it’s still here! Peace

2 通の返信Edge of fate flopped because it was a lifeless and unfun grind post campaign. Which is a shame, because I thought the campaign was quite enjoyable. It also failed because so many “core” activities were once again left in the dust. Say what you will about content creators, but the ones who have been around for a decade have, like myself, begged for more crucible maps and modes. Gambit still abandoned. EoF: no strikes. I can only blame Bungie for those decisions.

Relying on content creators to market your expansion is a terrible idea, as its hard to find information since its spread out amongst the different channels and some of that information can be wrong like what happened with EoF where the content creators got quite a bit of information wrong since it was based on their interpretation of that time they played. Bungie should make their own video and actually concretely and concisely explain all of this stuff themselves. We had a vidoc made just yapping about how Star Wars not Star Wars this expansion is, instead of telling us about things like the Lightsaber or the exotics or the new guns and activities. The couch stream crap is terrible since its not a great way to convey information with a singular developer yapping while some non-descript terrible gameplay is happening in the background.

3 通の返信FWIW: I see nothing wrong with CCs revealing upcoming events…BHQ is doing nothing wrong in using this type of marketing to help promote upcoming content…it’s all about ‘reach’…nothing to do with HALO…[i]hallo!?[/i]🤔 1x CC with a considerable audience of keen gamers is a marketing ‘no brainer’… ✅ Multiple CCs….✅✅✅ Finally, no one needs to watch or subscribe to a CCs output…only if they choose to. Go figure!? I watched Fallout’s shortish vid…he’s usually quite pithy, and on point! I may watch some other vids by other CCs on this…or (maybe / probably) not. Star Wars - I’m a fan! 😉 That is all.
