I've been playing Destiny for years and pre ordered Destiny 2. The game itself has issues and some i like while some are really bad ideas but for the most part the player base is why I do everything solo. I was in a team doing the Sundered Doctrine dungeon and I have not figured out the final puzzle yet so I worked on ad clearing to help where I could. This "team" started the damage phase without my knowledge and then after the second damage phase they booted me. Things like this make it impossible for players to enjoy the game. If you're not willing to teach or help then there should be tags that say hey im self centered and dont know how to play as a team. Sorry for the venting but does anybody else have this issue?

I sort of get your complaint. Sundered is complex. (For me, I have memory issues and struggle with spatial memory due to brain injury) Now do I now the mechanics? Yes, yes I do. Do I know where to put those -blam!--ing lenses in the first encounter? No I do not. Do I remember where the symbols are in Kevin the Erased’s room? Not without having a -blam!--ing map open on my phone. When I LFG raids or dungeons, I’ll communicate what I know and don’t. If you weren’t honest then you’re at fault. If you were honest, and they accepted you onto their team and then kicked you, then they are at fault.

6 通の返信Bungie is at fault for this one. They already proved it's solvable with explore mode then they just abandoned the concept. Turn on explore mode for all dungeons and raids boom done. Now there's a place to learn that doesn't bother the ones trying to go pro.
You're more of the problem with this statement. If the post didn't say teaching, learning, newbies welcome, etc then there's no expectation they are there to help you. You are not entitled to anything from other players especially when you aren't leader. Did you use any comms? Did you state you wanted to learn? If not then you are the one who cannot play as a team. Put up your own post with tags you want, require a mic, INVITE the people, do not summon, and do a comms check. Take this response as my offer to teach you the dungeon at your pace any time.

1 返信Both you and the other players are at fault. Blueberry is either not paying attention or ignoring prompts by others on what to do. Please prepare by reading or watching how to complete raids and dungeons. Please do not join KWTD in LFG if you are expecting a cary or to learn. Players need to show blueberry they are in the wrong. Text, chat, emote, or shooting repeatedly tend to work. Giving a warning is expected. Showing KWTD on LFG is a good filter but will not capture all. Please treat others how you want to be treated. Most are willing to teach. The issue is finding those willing to learn.

1 返信People play for different reasons - lots of players like to do quick runs to maximise their time and progress. If they don’t want to teach, that’s up to them. There are plenty of other people out there who do like to teach - there are even clans dedicated to helping people. It’s up to you to find the right people to team up with.
-
1 返信Nah, you went into a run knowing you didn’t know how to do the final boss. You could have told them even beforehand before you started, but you didn’t.
-
2 通の返信Well if you joined one that wasn't new player friendly or not labeled that they were teaching, that's on you. Kind of off topic, I don't know why non experienced players don't get together to complete activities.

To be honest met some cabbages but also met some great people who are a laugh through the LFG posts. I managed to bluff my way through my first last wish when it was new hahahaha. The lads were sound but they asked for KWTD its all about pretending enough and watching a video to know what to do as much as you can. I have been kicked once in my whole time playing and never kicked anyone but I can tell who is waffling about experience so just makes me play better as I have to hahahaha. It is a game not a job so hopefully you get a group that will help ya.

Suessianにより編集済み: 11/27/2025 10:51:07 PMSorta off-topic: Alright, this post is a good example of the only time mentioning how long you've been in the community is relevant. When the post is about the community. I'm so tired of posts like "The portal needs fixed" and the first sentence is "I'VE BEEN PLAYING DESTINY SINCE THE CONCEPT ART PHASE!!!" But you really should have watched a Video before doing a dungeon, or communicated that you didn't know what to do and that you needed help instead of being silent and taking the free win. Or else you're just gonna go do that again, still not know what you're doing, and this will just happen again and again. People aren't mind readers.

6 通の返信Least you can do is watch a video to know the basics before dragging others down. I bet you didn't use a mic either did you?

2 通の返信glitchHikerにより編集済み: 11/27/2025 1:38:53 PMIs there something stopping you from watching a YouTube video to learn it? Everyone should be doing that for every dungeon/raid, unless you have a group of friends to slowly learn it together. You also could've just said you didn't know that encounter and asked them to show you, at the very least it's possible they wouldn't have booted you if you were honest about it, maybe. But if you're too lazy to watch a simple video, you deserve that boot. I'm willing to bet that's not the only encounter they had to carry you through, booting you for ad clearing one encounter when you were [allegedly] pulling your weight for the rest of the dungeon doesn't make much sense, booting you was clearly intended as a message. It annoys me to no end when people join a dungeon or raid they don't know, say nothing, and just ad clear expecting a carry. Imho, they weren't in the wrong there, you 110% were. It's not hard to watch a quick YouTube explanation beforehand, there's really no excuse besides laziness.

3 通の返信Magisceneにより編集済み: 11/26/2025 2:43:06 PMBeen like that for years. If they booted you before right before the chest spawned you can easily report them. Bungie takes that stuff very seriously. But to be fair if you join an lfg post that has kwtd on it people will expect you to have an idea of what to do otherwise they will think you’re just looking for a carry which usually results in a boot. So if you didn’t know what to do in that case then i gotta side with the people booting you. They could have waited for a wipe sure but you gotta have the decency to communicate your lack of knowledge before hand to let them decide if they’re willing to teach otherwise you’re just wasting everyone’s time.

Killapete232により編集済み: 11/26/2025 11:06:08 PMI have read and experienced a lot of these things so your not alone, to circumvent any of these outlying issues I always host my own lobby and tell the team that if I'm unfamiliar with things that's the case. 9 times out of 10 we successfully complete the objectives and have a good time, learn what's up and do my best to help where I can. Try to host your own LFG this way you avoid this type of bs, and at the same time can have a decent time playing the game in turn giving you the best experience possible. Sadly others in LFG expect everyone to know the mechanics and assume as such, this is why I always host and no longer deal with these issues. Always do this and you will have a better time enjoying your game time on Destiny 2. Enjoy your day guardian and happy holidays if celebrating 🫡🍻

4 通の返信I do not have this issue because I have the decency to look up how mechanics work before jumping into an LFG. If you're going into an endgame activity on anything other than day one without already knowing how the mechanics function then I'm sorry to tell you bud, you're the problem.
-
Did you even try to communicate that you had no idea what you were doing? If no, then you’re expecting people to read your mind and cater to you who’s 1/3 of the fireteam. Sorry but that’d make you the self centered one. If yes, that sucks but it happens.

22 通の返信Ignore the nasty responses. They should have asked if you knew how to do it and then took a couple minutes to teach you the mechanics. You need a good clan, check out Angels of Death. They’re crack down on toxicity, help guide players and teach them, they do PvP and PvE, endgame content and help you through campaigns if needed.
