Congratulations, you scored top 1% in salt mines. your progress will be reset in an hour because a Netlimiter completed the activity and killed every enemy in 3 seconds.
Keep at it, though!
It's just the same reason the general playerbase doesn't like Raid races.
This is a Streamer event, not a player event.
Killing everything won't give any extra points champ.

when it was dread, you have to kill every single one before the damn door opened, so your argument is in some respects bad faith. i haven't run salt mines since the first day so i don't know if that's the case for taken, but we'll see how optional ads are ig!

Is that really hard to understand?

Genuine question: is speed still a score modifier (i.e. a faster time + a better final score), or is it just the same bonus as long as you finish before that time limit (i.e. 1s or 1 min below time are both the same bonus)? I haven't dug into it because until now, as long as I got my A+, I did not care about the actual score. Because if score is directly correlated with time, then I can at least see on paper why a cheater killing everything instantly would be a benefit in those rooms with doors locked behind clearing the room completely: you get the door open faster if you can say shoot the enemy through a wall or spawn a Witherhoard pool at their feet the instant they spawn (2 hacks I know at least existed in the past, because I've been on the receiving end of both in the Crucible).

The basic set modifier is for an extra 5 to 15% points if you finish before the clock. To get 5% you just to need finish before the timer ends. To get more bonus up to 15% you would have finish with at least 3 to 4 minutes on the clock. On higher difficulties the pressure cooker modifier gives a better score but you have to finish in time or get sent to orbit.

Ah, didn't realise the other one was optional below Ultimate (maybe it has changed since EoF's release); damn grey icon suggestis that it's just a thing (I'd have made it green, because it's theoretically increasing your score without making the enemies harder or you weaker...). At Ultimate there's always some kind of time modifier, either 'Time Bonus' or 'Pressure Cooker', although it looks like Pressure Cooker overwrites Time Bonus.
