Thank you and Goodbye
Dear Bungie,
I’m a 60-year-old grandmother who used to really love playing Destiny. It was my way to unwind after work and spend a little quiet time for myself. But lately, it feels like the game has become almost impossible to enjoy. The missions are so hard now that it’s discouraging, and I don’t understand why.
It seems like the game is being made for people who can spend all day playing, not for adults who work full-time and still want to relax for a bit in the evening. As someone who has kids and grandkids, I don’t have endless hours to play — I just want to have fun for a little while without feeling frustrated.
As I go back to Warframe full-time, I just wanted to say thank you for the good times I’ve had in the past with Destiny. It really did bring me joy when I needed it most.

1 返信I hear you. I'm retired, but I still have a lot to do on my small farm. D2 has become a second job and I think I need to retire from it too. Not liking the difficulty increasing every time my power number increases. Not feeling powerful any more and tired of the research it takes just to shoots some aliens. Good luck with Warframe. And those grand kids.

4 通の返信I understand you perfectly. I'm 59yo and started playing Destiny back in 2014 and kept playing it nonstop until Edge of Fate launch, which I bought the Deluxe version. While I liked the campaign mission and the story, I really dislike the power grind and how pointless and absurd it is, considering we're always handicapped against the enemies. It's not a true power grind, it's just a grind to increase playtime. Well, after eleven years of grinding, that doesn't work anymore as a motivation to play the game. Even less when the so-called "new" content is just old content with a few tweaks and some random activity with a mix of recycled mechanics. And no, Star Wars and a light saber won't save Destiny. As a matter of fact, I think that kind of thing has no place in Destiny universe. It only shows the lack of originality of Bungie developers. I guess everything has an end and I think that Destiny is reaching its own end. It was a good ride, though. Stay cool, guardian!

Gaming is about having fun, so play what provides that. I do find it funny you said you leaving destiny for warframe. They're basically the same game when it comes to time needed to invest to get loot. Except you can trade/buy in 1 game, and you can't in the other.

2 通の返信Also a 60yo who has played and loved the game since release and HATE this whole EoF stupidity and insanity. II enjoy a couple things about it still (FotL was fun) but the rest really hate. It generates more stress then and stress I'm trying to release and thus NOT ENJOYABLE and I'm a decent player. True not as good as was when it first came out and I soooooo can't wait till all these steamers and dev's reach our age, get hooked on a game and finally realize, hmm I suck compared to what I used to be and this, well it makes it worse. But then steamers are, for the most part, incapable of less than half the things I have done in life so they will never have a true clue. Pitty them for that really. So I hope you find more fun in Warframe and I may be joining you in a few weeks if Renegades will suck as bad, if not worse then right now (probably worse).

A 77 year old retiree been in the game almost since day one so sympathise with your views. More and more grind and gimmicks has moved it so far from the original that its almost not recognisable. Had lots and lots of fun along the way but from now on will only visit occasionally.

I understand your feelings however I work almost full-time and its really tedious but not impossible. I did not enjoy the light level grind but then again, saying you need to be borderline unemployed is disingenuous Still a train wreck though, dont get me wrong

55 year old grandad here and I wish you the best in your continuing gaming! I still enjoy D2 despite its flaws...the gunplay, build crafting, etc. is still some of the best in gaming imo. That said, I took a long break from the game until this past June when EoF was getting ready to launch, so maybe everything is still renewed for me. Enjoy the time you get to game. I tell my family it keeps the aging mind and reflexes young :) You should spend that time playing something you enjoy for sure.

7 通の返信Safe travels Guardian! 60 here also and resolved to quit after Renegades as I paid for it. Not chasing arms week, just doing a couple of daily bounties couldn't care less about top 10% scoring and just filled with disbelief about the wrong moves Bungie continues to make. This game has had it's soul ripped out and stepped on by Bungie and it's sickening.

I agree with yo!! cancelling bounties and power level restrictions are some of the stupidest things I have ver seen in Destiny!! If Renegades is like this I am done with Bungie. By the way Marathon is a pos!!!

Sorry to see the system brought you to that point... I find it not interfering with my game much, I don't chase loot anymore and am here just for story... So I'm pretty easy... Experienced a lot of games, and they're all the same, and mooch off of each other's ideas... So, I guess play something that grooves to you... Anyways, good luck...
