This is a reoccurring event. Your level isn’t getting reset and they already made leveling exponentially faster.
Having a couple hard to earn cosmetics a year won’t hurt you.

People at 500 and 550 using the same activity modifiers are playing the same activity at the same difficulty, but one will have a significantly higher score. Scoring should depend on difficulty, not power level.

And I mean actual difficulty and not just -30 and you get all the best stuff.
