I'm on PS5 on controller, and I did manage to finish, but I got sniped by a Hobgoblin just before the last damage phase of the Hydra Boss. The team managed to finish it and I was just happy it was done.
I do think PC has some damage advantage over console. Just watching videos of people solo it, it only takes them 3 slams to finish off the first 2 overload champs, while it takes me many more, definitely not 3.

I know you can look when you're playing and see a keyboard icon if they are on PC. I am going to assume the other teammates I had that run were on PC. I am a lot more impressed by console versus PC for stuff like world's first, if I even care anymore. But I think the race raid team that finishes 97th on console is more impressive than all the PC teams that finish ahead of them, just using random numbers obviously.

The game is tuned to PC to pander to the elitist 🫏🕳️ ‘s crying because the game is too easy. Because of keybinds and the superior input of M&K over controller this game is more difficult on console. That being said Chablo91 is a beast on the PS5 in solo content so 🤷♂️. Being part of the UK LAN Party culture in the mid to late ‘90’s I can confidently confirm that M&K is the superior input method. That being said sitting at a desk vs my couch with my feet up, there is no contest in which I prefer at my age. I could never play on M&K on the couch, so 🤷♂️. But again focussing on the smallest section of the D2 player base has been Bungie’s MO for quite a while.
The prime example of this is Bungie chasing the competitive Esports scene with D2’s original release and the way PvP was structured.
I wonder how that’s working out for them? 😔 Sony should put their foot down and make the console experience the priority, and I said console not just the PS5. However since the Sony’s FY2025 Q2 Earnings Announcement today, I think the writing is on the wall for Bungie and D2. It’s a sad state of affairs. I wish they could turn it around, but given their current management, competence, talent and man-power I just can’t see Bungie pulling another Forsaken or Witch Queen to save the franchise.

Agree with you. I am a casual couch console player and I understand that some people invest a lot of money and resources in machines to be able to excel, but I think it just makes no sense that they can sword skate and travel far like it just cannot be done on console. Console or rather controller and M&K should have been separate for the PvP, but of course low player population + even lower M&K population means controller players are just training dummies in PvP. Well the game is going down fast unfortunately.
