I absolutely agree. Contest of Elders, Onslaught, and the Coil should all have UNLIMITED revives in my opinion. Their challenge / appeal comes from the fun of playing thru the waves o enemies, not from worrying about how many revive tokens.
This would be a great change.
***I also advocate for unlimited revives in the Portal front page Matchmaking as well. Just because it seems like that is where a lot of new players and inexperienced users may be launching activities, and might need the extra chances. (I could use the help as well, but that's just because I am not skilled lol.)
All that said, I love D2 and really enjoy all the options. I just think these changes might make it a little better.

They really haven't lol. This week is limited revives & you start with 1 & reclaim has no champions & the modifiers are aggressive enemies, extra enemies, promoted enemies, banes, & basically 2 deaths in the first spawn & everyone leaves. & Expeditions don't complete bcoz the boss doesnt spawn & all the battlegrounds say reward A but only give B - so totally pointless.

Maybe you’re right? Last week’s patch notes says “Fixed an issue where some matchmade Portal activities would sometimes be missing limited revive modifiers”. But I know I did MM inverted spire this week which had the modifier “no time limit, no time bonus” and it had unlimited self-revives

It means you still can’t melt the boss because you might not be at 10,000 to get the projected score. You have to still actively farm ads during the boss phase. You can only kill the boss when your score is like 9900, which is virtually impossible to tell to your matchmade teammates.

Yeah I know that works in delve but the behemoth one then boss was like 2% health & no more adds spawned so we killed him & got B+. It doesn't make sense because the score projection was mid A. Wasted 3 bonus drops, & now around half of the activities & their bonuses simply aren't worth doing. Sad times
