Joining instances with people softlocked is now a very common occurrence & even after a fix, it still happens, & we've just accepted this & moved on regardless but today is things I never thought I'd see.
Reclaim mini bosses staying immune, doing mini objectives & then the boss either despawning totally or running away & seemingly going into a non existent zone leaving sealed chests & no way to progress.
Matchmaking starting with 2 players, players just not spawning in & timing out to orbit, players being kicked in most games & unable to rejoin or taking 10 mins to rejoin causing you to solo or 2 man.
Activity chests either not spawning, not opening, or opening & having no loot in.
Weekly bonus engrams not being reset. Zavala power drops being offered under your current power level. Broken or missing sound queues.
They've actually lost control & it feels like it's done for honesty unless more people start talking about it. Mobile games run better than this, hell Wii games run better, 20 years later.
Game needs taking offline for however long it takes (we'll wait) if this continues renegades may as well not release because it's gonna be carnage of apocalyptic proportions

1 返信I just noticed my son had 0 class ability on his warlock.. I’m like he should know better.. I look at his first piece of armor and it has 30 class ability and all other pieces have a class ability number.. Where the hell are they getting 0 from ? Something else to add to the growing list of disappointments…

2 通の返信lol bless your white cotton socks ! D2 is way past that ! It would take months and lots of money even to make d2 more stable , to fix all the bugs and so on . Biggest one is getting new servers and shut down the 30 plus year old servers before they implode ! There’s just so much wrong and it’s built up over the years . If Bungie started working on these issues a few years back we wouldn’t be in this mess now . Cut d2 lose and focus on d3 in the future .

3 通の返信I don't even think the game is in that bad shape. The bugs are a consequence of fast development time with no testing. Simple as that. The engine is probably fine - we've had normal launches in the past with minimal issues. But if you rush your development and carelessly release it, knowing full well it's broken - well, what did you expect? Destiny isn't the priority of this game studio now and it shows. Shutting it down to fix these issues isn't a bad idea though. It should never have been released in this state to begin with.

IMO- and just based off research I have done- again I am not an expert- but most of the issues, in the technical side of this, are likely because or at the very least made worse by, the old engine D2 is built on. [b]The Basics[/b] They took part of the OG- Halo (The Blame Engine) - so 24 years old- built that up with a new part- (Tiger Engine)- 11 years old and built what we currently have. By all standards for a multiplayer-online-live service game, an engine of that age, is fairly old. It causes and or contributes a large amount of the ongoing issues we have in D2. A real fix isn’t as simple as- turn it off, and what simply re-write code? The real solution would be, build a new engine and remaster or redo D2. D2 however, is an 8 year old game. It [b]likely[/b] isn’t the best use of time or resources. If you’re going to invest in a new engine- you’re probably better off putting a new IP on it than an old game. From what I could tell, you’re probably looking at 4-7+ years or so, just to build a new engine and rebuild D2. If they made a new engine and new IP- sequel D3- and kept the same graphics and art style and design- etc then it’s closer to 5 year. Those are rough estimates and based on no set backs. Best case scenario- let’s say it took them 5 years- how many players would come back? Even if it somehow took 6 months to a year to fix, how many players would come back? Anyway, that’s just my thoughts, based off my understanding.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but I would recommend Bungie wait until December to do so. Let people play out the remaining month of EoF then shut everything down, push the Renegades release until spring (conservative estimate), and use the intervening months to work on getting what's here fixed as well as ensuring the next expansion is truly ready.

When I heard about the softlock I decided I wasn't going to play until this week's reset but then played this past weekend and fortunately didn't encounter softlocks. Of course, now that I've said that it'll probably happen first game I play.
