Destiny has a trend of making people work for something, like REALLY work for it, and then just giving it out in a free catch-up chest after a few months passes.
This is the only game I've ever played that punishes people for playing the game alot.

If it's any consolation, the majority of ex-players left because they didn't like the changes and new system so unless the game is being referred to it's pre-EoF state they are unlikely to return regardless of what freebies are offered. It's unfortunate, but it is self-inflicted damage that I doubt Bungle in its current state is unable to remedy.

Bungie is trying to get players to come back to the game, catch-up mechanics are a good way to encourage that. They don't need to encourage us, the active players to come back because we're already here. Giving players a catch-up mechanic is good for us, actually, the more people are playing the game the easier it is for us to find groups; what Bungie is attempting isn't just for new and returning player's benefit, it's for ours as well. Right now Destiny 2 is losing players at too good a clip, bringing players back is beneficial for the game as a whole. What helps new players helps the game, and what helps the game helps us. That's not punishment.

Roll farming died with crafting and now tier 5 drops. Shinnies are a chase tho. Not really any aspirational loot to go after in this game. That said you’re complaining about having catchup rewards for returning players. Quite frankly if something is already 3+ months old, letting new players obtain it easier is a perfectly fine way to help them come back to the game.

1 返信Other people getting stuff isn't a punishment to you. Increasing Power yourself early on gives you that much more time to chase higher tier gear.
