Kinetic weapons should intrinsically have some kind of orb generation properties. If strand/stasis weapons can both break shields AND synergise with subclasses, what’s the point in using kinetic weapons?
Therefore, I propose that kinetic weapons should intrinsically have higher ammo generation, generate orbs on multikills (Old masterwork properties), and all orbs generated from this will be on-par with T2 siphon orbs.
This gives Kinetic weapons a defined place in the sandbox; It’s your build’s driver, it generates orbs and ammo for the rest of your build to work sustainably and effectively.
TLDR: Kinetic weapons suck and need an intrinsic buff.

They do via weapon mod. The synergy mod works that way for kinetic weapons. Kills will drop orbs of power instead of an elemental pickup if its a kinetic weapon. If your kinetic weapon also has attrition orbs, that will also increase your orb of power drop rate.

1 返信I named my 20k+ kills Sweet Business "Stacey" for a reason and I ain't letting go of her, and u ain't making me! HOWEVER, any other weapon that's NOT Stacey does tend to be kinda sloppy...but still reliable imo I feel like we rely too much on those fancy types of damage, I really appreciate the raw damage of kinetic even tho it can be sloppy at times, but maybe that's just me

2 通の返信My Outbreak begs to differ since one precision kill can clear a room and with the seasonal mods kinetic feels pretty good to me.

Paired with Techsec it can be a good option but then you have to incorporate that into a loadout just for Kinetic buff that gives a free stun on shield-break. Its not ideal to have to build into Kinetic to make Kinetic good, but it should help if you are running New Land Beyond or a Kinetic Tremor gun. Kinetic could use something.

Apply the kinetic orb drop to your helmet. Although I disagree with it costing 2 it should cost 1 like the matching element mod that drops orbs Ive used outbreak the entire time since EoF launched. Haven't had any issues producing orbs.

2 通の返信Fully agree, they aren’t viable in harder content. I’ve been trying to get a Malfeasance build running though, and I must say with 200 weapons stat + lucky pants + the catalyst it actually feels surprisingly good. In Reclaim Ultimate I was able to melt yellow bars and mini bosses in one mag, with a primary HC. And I haven’t unlocked the catalyst yet with Vorpal.

3 通の返信Ironically Kinetic Tremors + Attrition Orbs is one of the best combos in pve for utility and general ad clear. But I do agree, besides that kinetic weapons could use some spice. Maybe buff the new mini missile perks they introduced this season.
