I honestly believed fixed power deltas was going to be worse than it actually is. Not because I thought -30 was hard (it wasn’t/isn’t) but because of the amount of annoying modifiers that would be required to hit the appropriate score multiplier in addition to the delta. I’m happy to report that I was wrong.
One bit of feedback, however. I still think being able to make the activity -40, -50, etc. should still be allowed for increased loot & for the sheer challenge. I’m sure the Esoterick’s of the world would happily subject themselves to crazy power deltas for the challenge. Have every additional -10 give an additional two completion rewards. This would incentivize increasing the difficulty AND would give challenge junkies something to do.

1 返信No, I do not want to chase more loot and power just so I can be made weaker by some arbitrary game mechanic.

Unless they never bothered filling the forecast bar knowing they'd accomplish A regardless of what the forecast bar says, which I doubt many people did. Since Grandmaster I've always had to add power increasing mods AFTER having locked loadout / touche, no starting ammo, and brawn to fill the forecast bar which was always at least 20 above me. Ultimate would have people adding even more than people in GM.

1 返信Glad you find it easy, I do not. I say make all of that optional, but not base rewards on that. Tying difficulty to light level is a loose loose for casuals who can't do master level activities. I don't even like doing expert. I just want ti kill stuff and have fun. Now I am forced to play master level activities just to get a MM. My teams better be good at revives and carrying my limited damage. I got no good gear so I cannot make a good build. The game is not fun at that difficulty. Bungie may or may not learn their lesson, the casuals pay the bills, to loose most of us they you all better be prepared for much lower levels of development. Not that it can get much lower than EOF.

When this boost is removed next week you should be prepared to have to add at least one additional Challenge Modifier to reach the same score thresholds. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

1 返信I don't think power deltas past -10 should be in the game at all. that's just me, though.

Something like a new one releasing every week would be great. One new one each week. Can do the released ones anytime until they reset at the end of the season. Challenge and customization don’t really go together. Even people wanting challenge are gonna do the most efficient farm, just as you see people who feel forced to play the hardest difficulty.
