It feels really good to finish a goal. Get that title done, find the last collectible, reach Guardian rank 11, get that godroll. I look at the people who asked for an infinite grind and I look at the player count and wonder is that venn diagram a circle? Is that a happy circle? I feel like my time was not being respected. I’m not owed things just because I put in 10,000 hours. I am “owed” things because that is not 10k hours sitting in orbit, that is 10000 hours playing a game, not a slot machine. That’s how games work, you get rewards. Go be a casino if that doesn’t sit right with you. Maybe that’s the bet you want to make, that you can hook a sustainable number of people on a casino with extra steps.
