What is the point of grinding power if we’re always forced under delta.

Just goes to show how much of a farce that grind really is. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. They’re just straight up telling you “You have to grind 550 levels for access to gear and activities. Otherwise it has zero bearing on your in-game power.

Short of getting "access" to tier 5 loot (which doesn't kill any better, but does have more perk options so all the -blam!- drops can be "adjusted" except for every -blam!- thing over tier 3 dropping more often with -blam!- "handling" masterwork), what is the point of spending all your time in the game in portal activities, over and over and over and over, just to get to 450 (or whatever the current cap is) just to have all your gear, equipped and in your vault, be reset to 200 Dec. 2nd when Renegades drops? Assuming it does with the way the game is going these days. p.s.... the answer, in case you read all the way to here, is there is no reason. But then again, Bungie doesn't make this game for "real gamers" (console or PC), it is made for streamers and content creators who want insane difficulties to encourage "viewers" to join streamers (after subscribing of course) in game to get help with difficult parts and excite viewers in gameplay that looks fun so they will spend money on Twitch or buy the game and try it for themselves, or both ideally. Don't believe me? Check out one of the "sponsored" streamers ( although few will admit to being "kept" by Bungie) and see for yourself.

At this point I'm sure Bungie plans to cut and run like its previous CEO as early as possible. I'm not even sure which bunch of idiots are approving decisions which seems to go exactly opposite to player sentiment (whatever are left anyway). Forced power deltas are ridiculous and probably last nail in the coffin for me. Something like this is ok for conquests which need to be done once but not for stuff supposed to be run 100s of times. I'll come back in once when exotic quest launches (love those) and I'm done.

6 通の返信unlock tier upgrades and conquests... that's all it is really! Power cap for the last conquest is 550, so you can have a mildly easier time if you can get there. Guardian rank 11 might require 550, but I feel that's only for the prestige.

Exactly! I don’t understand how they can be this blind and incompetent! It’s trivially obvious what’s wrong with the game but, because literally nobody at Bungie plays their own game, they keep making idiotic decision after idiotic decision!

Agree with OP. Delta caps would take away my choice of difficulty. They would make every Portal activity much more difficult than they are now. Unless I'm misunderstanding, there would be no way to consistently get Tier 5 drops without at least -25 delta. Engram and Power changes would be helpful for the Power climb. Please do not add the delta caps.

Exactly why I’m not taking the grind seriously anymore. I used to PLAY this game, too. Now I’m just gonna hop on casually only when friends are on it. Borderlands 4 is what I’ll be grinding from now on, probably.

8 通の返信Cheese Forever is pissed about the new proposed power leveling on October 14th. I am not happy about being 30 under on Ultimate whatever I am running. Whoever is in charge of the power leveling has a definite problem with the user base and wants to screw them over.
