Agree. Weapon stat really only comes to play on specific weapon/perk combinations which can nudge the TTK value. In general, its a heavy investment into the stat, so the player cant really invest in other stats if they do that. I use Weapons as my throwaway stat, building 150 health, 100 grenade/melee/super, 70 class... Specific stats are adjusted for different builds. But I often use the tuning mod to pull from weapons to put into other stats. If you are under 100 weapons, you are not gaining ANY damage, and at 100, its only 10% handling/reload. We have armor mods that do that, so better to put the stats into the build.
And much like I tell my PvE friends when they play PvP. Play to support the team, and try to never be solo. Keep cover between yourself and the enemy, and poke at them when your team starts shooting. 1v1 is much lower odds than 3v1... Play your life first, and input damage second. Enough damage put in, you will get kills and points for it, and playing the objectives will give higher points than kills alone. But, if you are visiting the spawn screen frequently, you are spending more time spawning and running back to the fight than being in the fight.
That’s pretty much how PvP has worked since forever. What’s funny to me is that the loudest complainers are often the same people who can memorize every raid symbol and handle complex mechanics but somehow can’t figure out how to use a radar or avoid pushing out into the open. Make that make sense.😂
