Let’s say you run a raid.. for the purpose of your friend getting the exotic.. for 22nd time It drops for you and not your friend and you want to give it to him but can’t.. it would mean the world to them that they get it from you, and they was playing with you making it more memorable and to some can mean more..
I can see the negative consequences that people would do it for trolling or try duplicating.. but many games can drop guns and help other people.. with no light and perk swapping.. can help new players, be more social helping the community and have more fun with the gun you been after for weeks and weeks with bad RNG..
There Would be a in game system of things to do first to unlock such a thing. The game servers and bungie way of patching and fixing things, if it got so bad they would stop it.. do a fix and let players use it.
No light on guns would make the resetting each season easier and not have to touch guns.. so just an idea..
A market where for 24 hours can put up a gun for trade someone takes it and it has the name of the previous owner to make it more meaningful to remember who you got it from. By the time you done your 62 or 200 clear you might get your own drop.
Also kill count transfers from the same gun would be nice… using a gun only to get that better roll and starting over hurts the pride of some people.. rolling over the kill count wouldn’t hurt…
The whole point of the game is grind. I am personally against trading as that can cause issues and will introduce money transactions more then what we see now.
Trading will always be a hard No for Bungie. There would be for too many restrictions. An open market to trade for real money. They would have to come up with a much easier way to communicate between players. There are a least 20 more examples I could use to tell you why, but Bungie has been very clear about having no interest in this for a long time. Destiny is an MMO and an RPG on paper. The most literal definitions of those words. History has shown that social aspects have no real place in Sol.
