Nope, about dbl the time commitment.
60-70 hrs
Up from 30-40.
And we have had grinds in this game that were worse AND timegated.
Like for Emblems... I've grinded longer for a single emblem.
Warminded - took 3 months.
The Time Trials emblem for the ascendant challenges took 6 weeks.
This grind took me less than 3 weeks, and I don't have the clan prime boost.

They are right tho, regardless how yall "feel" about it. 10-400 isn't a grind, just play and level. It's a new system, so understandable that ppl are confused. But there is way to much misinformation out there and ppl just repeat nonsense all the time.
-
It's not just about the time spent. It's about the time wasted because of what Bungie has planned and already implemented. How and why you are all going along with it baffles me. The lashings will continue until moral is improved I guess.

Pointing out 10-400 is on the "low end" of "grinds" in the history of gaming isn't defending anything really... But I do love it when people assume things, or misread them. Our little secret, it's kinda why I post here.... you get raw emotion.

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 8/31/2025 10:15:37 PMOrdinatio Veritas... bleater. Just the facts. I proved it. Here's another example. In FF7 it takes about 1.2 million XP to go from 1-79. Then from 79-99... it takes 1.25 million. History of franchise or popular games in the history of gaming - the statement is patently and objectively false. It took longer in D1, and it WAS essentially the same system... a more convoluted & obtuse version. In D1, this was true all the way to RoI, gear was level capped... meaning a lot of what you grinded for in previous expansions was totally useless and couldn't be used in future content. The only examples of that in EoF are with Avante' Guard and Cutting Edge. Otherwise, everything can be infused and is sandbox viable. So, you're only locked out of Conquests and one crucible variant. 😇👍💠

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 8/31/2025 10:06:22 PMI broke it down in comparison to D1 here: I'm going to end the leveling drama in this topic AND talk about Goldfish. I used FF7 to emphasize how ridiculous these complaints are. Most people finish FF7 anywhere between 45-65. The chase to 99 was to do the hardest content in the game and for the number. Likewise, in D2 now, everyone will have access to Tier 5 gear leveling normally to 500... which is at most 40 hrs. The Prime bands are for those that want to play ultimate and those that like to grind and minmax. Thus, these complaints and this drama is completely exaggerated. And Bungie still plans on making it better, lol. As it stands, outside of the Prime bands... it's easy as ****. 😇👍💠

I think you're missing the biggest hurdle here that you can't seem to reach around. FF7 was fun.Iit had better ways to build characters. It didn't take them away after 6 months of playing. The time invested felt worthwhile. What Bungie has created takes that time away and asks you to go do it again. Comparing FF7 and Destiny does nothing here. One is a completed game. The other is a GAAS. Your argument is moot Mr. Ronin(Loner)

Yes it's obvious who's argument is moot when from 1 post to another they completely contradict what they say.

I am showing their differences in the time invested ya dolt. One favors our time more than the other. The games are different. The only thing they share in common is time. One wastes, the other you cherish for having played it. Get it through your thick skull.

I guess having a thick skull protects from brain damage. Maybe more calcium might help you.

Howiepenguinにより編集済み: 9/1/2025 2:32:39 AMAgain with these Uno reverse, "No U" antics. Statements such as these are churlish and chicanerous. It won't work here. It all started when he compared two things that are not the same when it comes to time invested. Stop trying to turn this into something it is not, or as it is called now, gaslighting. Edit: removed redundancy.
Again with these Uno reverse, "No U" antics. Statements such as these are churlish and chicanerous. It won't work here. Edit: removed redundancy.
? Yes. You said how you can't compare the 2 to then in your very next post compared the 2. If pointing out hyporacy and irony is childish to you then stop being childish talking about riding things and reaching around. Your initial reply was irrelevant to what they posted and just a childish attempt to insult because you were triggered with their option and details explaining why they hold that opinion. Nothing to refute their details? Uno reverse? Yeah others a childish😏

Howiepenguinにより編集済み: 9/1/2025 3:16:54 AMInitial replies was to invalidate opinion through hyperbole. Other replies was to show contradiction when comparing two different games' ask of time spent. You tell me No U, act churlish and present chicanery/gaslighting. I point out previously said fallacious tactics. You:??? Me: What? (repeats self in different way) You: Ha! see, I win. Doesn't add up, bud. Edit: It's literally the argument of apples to oranges. We are going in a circle here. When will it drill though that said thick skull you have retorted. By the way having a thick skull does not prevent one from brain damage.
-
Did you just attempt to play an uno reverse? Cause that is a horrible response to an argument. Here is information I think is valid It isn't, you comparing apples and oranges No U Jeebus it's like talking to a child.
-
The information is valid. The grind to access maximum rewards is objectively easier and faster. With a better payout, whether you stop at 500 or pursue the Prime bands. 40 hrs to 500. 😇👍💠 Minimal lockouts or restrictions. It's not what I think, it's the rational and empirical truth of the matter. Your subjective preferences & acrimony have no weight. Your willful disdain and ignorance, your obsession with projecting that misery onto others continues to be Weird AF.

Howiepenguinにより編集済み: 9/1/2025 3:18:10 AMMy god, what a useless rant. Children sure can babble and still get nowhere* in their argument. Let me spell it out one last time. You mentioned FF7, a revolutionary game for its time. A game that is completed, finished, finito. Then compared the time put in to it for a games as a service model game like Destiny and Destiny 2 that is going on in perpetuity. These games are not the same. Time put in is time put in for FF7. Time put in to Destiny and Destiny 2 is ends up being wasted. Destiny 1 is not a completed game, it is an abandoned game in maintenance mode. It does not matter what time is put in. All of it will eventually go away once Bungie pulls the plug. Hence Stop Killing Games. You don't see the disconnect for some reason because you are in la la land. Peace Mr.Ronin(Loner) *Edit: Your's not mine
