2 通の返信This can not be said enough. A trash mechanic that has no place in a first person shooter. Matterspark... Even its name is a sad example of Bungie no more originality.

4 通の返信I actually wish there was arena endgame content to use it in. They advertised it as a Destination power but didn't even present any meaningful challenges with it and give it build synergy. I get that controlling it is rough for many players but imagine how fun an aerial homing attack that can follow up chain to other targets like Sonic. They just...did nothing cool with it.

Can actually be really helpful in combat, especially on Mythic if you use it the right way. It's not necessarily about damage, although it does chip away at ads. But I have used it to break arc shields, stun difficult enemies like minotaurs and exile captains. It is especially useful if you activate Matterspark right when your health is critical as it will save you from dying and help you heal. Then you can exit it and it doesn't take that long either to be able to use it again. You can move behind enemies, under them, confuse and distract them for your allies while stunning and even jolting enemies. Sometimes I even jump around enemies in Matterspark and they have a tough time hitting me. Another way it is useful is for retreating. The small size allows you to move behind smaller cover and rocks to survive. In the Vex campaign miasion, not sure if it is gouge or not, the one with the wyverns and such where you need to break their immunity shields. On Mythic the only way I even feel safe going down there is with Matterspark. I can stay alive, despite vex sniper hobgoblins and wyverns around, break their immunity and make it back to cover with my teammates while not dying. On top of that it starts your health regen and reloads your weapons. You don't have to like it and that's fine but it is more than just a way to move around and do puzzles. It actually has a lot of useful combat traits to it. You just have to get used to how to optimize the way you use it. Try my tips. It's better than people give it credit for. Sometimes I wish it was a permanent optional ability we could slot in or out of maybe the sparrow slot or something because I think it is that useful in combat. It can save you from those flying vex swarms too, the cluster ones or deal with a lot of vex harpies because they are arc. It will also save you from threadlings or screebs.

The only thing I don't like about Matterspark is how difficult it can be to control sometimes. When you press the "high jump" button combo, it will sometimes launch you 3 stories in the air. Other times, you only hop about 2 feet, then drop like a rock. It was infuriating during the final boss of the final mission, where you have to navigate several obstacle courses just to do DPS. I kept falling off the map inexplicably. Just make it more predicaltable and easy to control.

5 通の返信I only played the first mission which was free. Materspark was irritating enough that I didn't purchase edge of fate.

PandaPapa146により編集済み: 8/30/2025 11:02:09 PMIt’s a useful bit of kit to have…on Kepler…especially if one is able to summon it at will, ie, not have to rely on an activation point. Got it on my W - still to do sparky 4; just done the last, but one,* Message scrap…and, after getting the chest, hit sparky and dropped down into the gap, only to fall under a floor grating, with no exit available…then sparky ends, and I’m stuck there beneath the grate with no way out. That’s when I switched off…as I had to bounce anyway; I hope it doesn’t set me right back at the start when I switch it back on…🤔 It didn’t…last checkpoint auto save function saved the day, so to speak! **👻 Sparky ain’t so bad once you get used to it…and we should be able to deploy it everywhere, imho. That is all. Ease Springs! 🤖 *autobot error correction ** update
