How did Bungie green light this dlc. No pvp maps. no strikes. Taken away half the game by not implementing new loot into those activities deeming them useless to run. Bungie are so out of touch

1 返信CoO was legit, only bad because the state of D2 was bad. There were no differing rolls, so what an item got it got no special weapons for some reason, and that was about it. EoF is just let's invalidate 90% of the game while only adding a destination and a raid. Knowing full well that new players are virtually nonexistent, vets feel their time spat on due to this constant identity crisis of design. The game seems to go in every year, and now people are tired.

KPortにより編集済み: 8/30/2025 7:36:49 PMMore like the community complains about everything they touch. Play a different game then, Christ. "OMG, Bungie didn't do this one specific thing, ahh, they're worse than EA!" This is what you can paraphrasing for the over exaggerated bs I read in these forums.

6 通の返信I dunno why people always hate on CoO, sure it wasn't perfect but at least it WAS content and had some pretty cool additions to the game. If something similar to it was released today I think it'd be received as an exception addition to the game given the garbage it's received recently.

1 返信I genuinely think the game was i a way healthier and more fun state back in CoO. I played back then and the entire game felt like a quality product. The expansion had no content, the base game had no content and we had no random rolls + no special weapons. STILL it felt like a quality Bungie/Activision product with polished and basic, fun gunplay. It just had this triply A quality feel, i dont know how to describe it. All we needed was content, random rolls and special weapons. Forsaken gave us that. Nowadays on the other hand, Destiny feels like an unpolished, downgraded mobile cash grab game thats on live support with all the dev time flooding into the eververse store and grind mechanics because everyone -blam!- their own time and money already ditched the franchise. Simple examples are: The downgrade textures and overall looks of the game since beyond light when they started their "game is getting too big" agenda. We no can walk through NPC's during important story dialogue, everything feels "plastic" and dull. Theres no weight to anything anymore. Back then, like i said, the entire game was beautiful and had substance. No content but felt polished. The core Destiny audience back then was players wo loved the smooth and enjoyable gunplay that reminded them of halo but better combined with the awesome idea of a true FPS-MMO. We didnt have that, we still dont have that anywhere else. The combination of PVE and PVP was awesome. Grind pve and hop into PVP to test your new cool guns. Bungie fforgot their identity and strength along the way. They went the world of warcraft route. Catering the game to a tiny elitist minority that only wants challenge and more challenge and more grind and more bragging rights because their whole personality and ego exists around that. They did more "space magic" which ruined a very important pillar of their franchise which is pvp. Most players now wont agree but without proper and fun pvp, this game is just a way worse version of borderlands. Might aswell be a single player then. Most people dont raid so dont bring that argument... They also have the same issue, Cod has now with their insanely oppressive MTX focus. The whole integrity and theme of the game went out the window with all their cringe collabs. This is such a vast, gritty and dark setting with so many awesome possibilities to build looks based on the destiny universe. Meanwhile we run around with doki doki cutesy titans and probably soon beavis and b**head warlocks and hunters, meanwhile they talk about bringing class identity back. Just to squeeze money out of the game that had such a vast universe with endless opportunnities and to put the game on life support with no proper dev time.

1 返信Just played a comp game (I'm super mid), but the dsync made it unplayable. Not calling shenanigans, but i was getting beamed before the person even showed on the screen. Just left- pointless

2 通の返信Blackoutにより編集済み: 8/31/2025 9:44:33 AMI didn't even think about it but you're right, they didn't add any EOF themed pvp map or strikes.. It also took me a while to realize there were no lost sectors on Kepler either lol. A lot has changed.

3 通の返信No, Curse was better. Curse at least had a point where you felt satisfied and could safely put the game down. This? There is no finish line. Bungie is just going to keep pushing it back by twenty miles.

2 通の返信I find it worse at least the planet had a public event and was a public area Keplar has no public events and it’s just you on Keplar
-
1 返信Eh. It's grown on me since Launch... At least the Plaguelands return in 10 days or so... But I'm sure they're only going to utilize it like they did The Dreadnaught... No Exploration, just missions...

Tbh coo wasnt that bad.. It gave as much content as shadowkeep for a lesser price (Even if shadowkeep was bad) But also CoO had something eof doesnt have...the feeling of "everything is new" from the year 1 era.

I think curse of Osiris was the only period worse than this. It had a nice campaign and some quests for weapons afterwards. So not bad content, just very little. So the replay value was essentially 0. Edge of fate had a very good story. Less enjoyable to play with all the puzzles in my opinion at least. This makes the postgame awful because it’s just doing the same missions over and over again. The portal has potential but isn’t great in its current state. Kepler is a cool location. Certainly more to it than mercury. It would be nice if Kepler had literally anything going on though. It’s just the exact same day in and day out besides the resources. So while the replay value for EOF isn’t great it at least has it.

STARKILLER2258により編集済み: 8/29/2025 11:31:50 PMI didn't mind CoO. I always found something decent in every expansion. Maybe the story, maybe a new strike, or a new area. This?? This is crap. SO much that I went from playing everyday, to a few times per week, to not playing at all. I haven't played in well over a week and I struggle, actually struggle to attempt to turn on the console, and yet I haven't done it. I'm staying a little later at work, doing more stuff around the house, etc. In other words, real work is more fun than this. Thats pretty bad.

2 通の返信KRoMXiToにより編集済み: 8/29/2025 9:26:43 PMIt is worse according to what i could see. And, despite of that, you still opened your wallet wide. Despite knowing well the situation at bungie, you still opened your wallet wide. Blaming at bungie, yes, ok. I totally agree with you. But dont forget blaming at your own stupidity too.

1 返信I have been saying this since launch. I have been called out for it also. This may actually be worse than COO. only time will tell.

1 返信What’s really weird about this decision is that we had a great weapon system. There was zero need to revamp weapons. Sure armor could have used a revamp but tiers weren’t necessary. Also don’t be fooled they could have revamped ALL loot and armor and delivered.

3 通の返信Nerd_Herdにより編集済み: 8/30/2025 12:45:10 AMI had more fun launching myself across Mercury in CoO with other players, than turning into a ball all by myself on Keplar.
