Destiny has always been marketed as an FPS with RPG undertones. That is the thing that made it unique from other fps games. The loot system and new armor stats is exactly that, more inline with RPG. Not everyone is going to be happy obviously but for the last two years the majority of PVE complaints have been that things were too easy and why did we spend $50-100 bucks to blow through content in 1 day. This is the solution. Making events/mission multi tiered along with stat grind. It doesn't take hours and hours if you play the system. Focus on the stats rather than the light level. Light level will come naturally with progress. The stats are what help with the content and mods built into each difficulty tier. I was two weeks behind as I was unable to play the first two weeks of release. I surpassed my clan mates in under a week of playing by doing just as I suggested. Stats before light level.

This is nothing like any FPS or RPG I've played. I can pick up right where I left off in every other game I own. Only Destiny makes you weaker, wastes most all the time previously spent playing, and steals paid content from customers.

Bungie did not intentionally steal paid content from customers. The vaulting of content was simply an inevitabel consequence of making Destiny 2 a full live service experience. The framework of the game didn't support this and made it impossible to keep the game functional but also growing. It was a dumb oversight by Bungie that cost them dearly.

Stop defending this Bungie argument. They are the ones to blame. They took content we paid for because of their ineptitude. The reason they gave is because of ineptitude. This whole studio is now about its ineptitude. All because management needs bigger paychecks instead of investing that money back into the studio.
