Why isnt there a entity watching over how gamers are being exploited these days? Bungie rips off in ways i have never seen in gaming. I have paid for content for 10 years that i am not allowed to play anymore. The amount of cheaters in this game is abnormal. They just do whatever they want without consequences. I predicted that crossplatform would also kill this game. Why bungie? Why are you so -blam!- lazy?I am happy to pay for content however i do not understand how they want to be total -blam!-. Karma will find you bungie find by nature or i hope a nutjob to finish this criminal activities and this total ripoff and ignoring long followers. Karma will find you.....
How is cross play preventing you from playing?

(And this is known, but if you are on console and someone in your fireteam is on PC, you'll get matched with PC people)
There is no option that you can turn off. The only way to match pc on console is to join a pc fireteam. Edit: unless you’re talking about the disable cross play option, but that’s not for pc lobbies.
-
Because if you turn it off you only match others who feel that they only want to play with psn players, which is the very small minority because most players understand how the platforms and cross play actually work.
-
Okay this might come as a shock to you: It filters the cheaters, mainly pc players.
This may come to a shock to you, but console players do not match pc players in pvp or gambit. Unless you willingly are in a premade fireteam with a pc player.
Xbox players, to me xbox and pc is the same.
But they are not? xbox is a console that only has the supported option of using a controller. Same as Playstation. Xbox is a closed eco system that does not allow for kernal level hard cheats, same as Playstation. Sorry bud, but you are just wrong.
-
Xbox utilizes a PC-like hardware architecture, it is common knowledge that cheating on an Xbox is easier compared to a closed system like ps5.
That’s just not true. Both modern consoles have very strong security measures, which is why neither see major cheating. Your statement about Xbox being easier to cheat on is pure nonsense. Now I get that you’re going to cry cheater most of the time when you die, but you’re not actually encountering cheaters. You’re just a sore loser. Very common among chronic cheat whiners, electability those on console.
-
Never encountering cheaters, huh? This is speculative and dismissive. Cheaters do exist on console, especially in cross-platform lobbies. This comment oversimplifies the truth and takes an unnecessarily antagonistic tone. Cheating on console happens and is not impossible, and Xbox has more flexibility due to features like Developer Mode 'for example'. Suggesting that any complaint about cheating = "sore loser" is just lazy argumentation.

You don’t understand how consoles work. Developer mode does not provide access to commercial games and does not allow you to cheat. You can’t access Xbox live with it nor can you access the Xbox memory. It’s a completely separate OS instance. So by all means explain how that allows cheaters. Post a video of someone on Xbox cheating via software hacks. You’re going complain about Xbox because you need a scapegoat to feel less insignificant. Very common and very enjoyable to poke fun at.

My bad, you’re not being antagonistic, you’re just intentionally being a jerk. Much better. Anyway, I never said Developer Mode lets you hop into Destiny 2 or any other crossplatform game and start wallhacking from the dashboard. I said it's a potential vector for exploits in the right hands. If you think security and isolation are flawless and unexploitable, history says otherwise. But hey, feel free to keep pretending the mere existence of a pathway is the same as me claiming every Xbox is a hacker's paradise. Also, demanding a YouTube link like it's a debate mic drop doesn’t make your point stronge, it just signals you’re out of arguments and hoping homework will do the heavy lifting. As for the "insignificant" bit if mocking people online for their opinions is your idea of fun, it says way more about your own insecurities than mine. But by all means, don’t let basic decency stop you. Go ahead. You’re clearly on a roll.

It operates in its own separate sandboxes os. The asking for proof part is a standard in questioning a claim someone makes. No need to throw a fit over it buddy. I know you can come up with any proof. That’s why I asked. It helps make you look silly. Out of arguments? I’ve addressed all your claims. They’re just nonsense. Developer mode doesn’t help you cheat. There aren’t cheaters in Xbox. Xbox isn’t like a pc in that way. You are bad at the game and are blaming people from other platforms for it. Mocking people online when they say something stupid is standard practice. Look at the tone you had when making this post, now reread the part you just said about standard decency. Remarkable individual, truly.

You're clearly struggling to keep your own narrative straight. “I never said Developer Mode lets you hop into Destiny 2 and start wallhacking…” Right, you didn’t say that, you just heavily implied it with vague fearmongering about "vectors for exploits," hoping to sound informed without saying anything concrete. That way, when someone calls your bluff, you can pull this exact little stunt and cry “I never said that!” Classic tactic when you have zero evidence but want to stir the pot anyway. “It’s a potential vector for exploits in the right hands.” Translation: I read half a Reddit post once and now I’m an authority on system architecture. Newsflash: everything is a “potential” vector in theory — my toaster could become self-aware in the right hands. The question isn’t whether something is hypothetically possible; it’s whether it’s remotely plausible — and in this case, it isn’t. Xbox’s Developer Mode is a locked-down environment, completely isolated from commercial titles. That’s not speculation. That’s how it’s designed. “Demanding a YouTube link is a sign you’re out of arguments.” No, asking for evidence when someone makes a technical claim isn’t “being out of arguments.” It’s called burden of proof — you made a claim, you back it up. If that feels like a threat to your ego, maybe stick to opinions where you can safely be wrong without correction. “Mocking people for their opinions says more about your insecurities…” Sure.... and immediately after saying that, you start mocking me for my tone and implying I’m just “bad at the game.” The irony is so thick it should come with a fork. You’re not here for truth, you're here to feel right. That’s why your entire tone is built around smug superiority and zero substance. “There aren’t cheaters on Xbox.” This is either ignorance or delusion. Xbox isn't immune to cheating, it’s just not as open as PC. There have been input spoofers, network manipulation, and yes, rare cases of custom firmware abuse. Saying “it doesn’t happen” because it’s not common doesn’t make it impossible. That’s like saying no one speeds because speeding tickets are rare. “Remarkable individual, truly.” And there it is, the sarcastic closer when the argument's gone up in smoke. A weak, passive-aggressive curtain pull to distract from the fact that you brought nothing but attitude and got checked with facts. So next time you want to sound smart, maybe come equipped with more than tired snark, tech buzzwords you don’t understand, and a desperate need to win a forum argument no one gave you a trophy for. Now take your L with some dignit or don’t. Either way, I’ll be here, rent-free in your Developer Mode fantasies.
