Hopefully they listen to me... not Bungie, Dmg is risking himself... @Sony protect this guy.
@Sony.... here's the branding.
"Sony... using AI to help the player".
Player Action Logs and AI with manual review.
Invest in the networking and security, outsource to a specialist if needed.
And management changes announced before EoF launches...
That's what NEEDS to happen next.

Valve have been developing an ai anti cheat for years… it’s supposedly on and active in cs2…. The game is rife with cheaters… it simply doesn’t work … The best anti cheats need kernel access … but why would they invest in that when destiny is a pve game at heart…

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 5/28/2025 9:33:45 PMDon't need kernel access... Just an update to Terms to allow Bungie to log your player inputs while playing. And of course, the systems to analyze those inputs which uses AI to flag, then manual review to confirm. Even with external hardware or private drivers or a boot stick... it doesn't matter. In those instances, it may not be able to identify conclusively the exact tech being used, BUT can still detect the cheating. Much of what I was involved in early on, not in developing these systems... but input technology. No human being is perfect... The system detects those anomalies. It can't be circumvented unless you emulate human error... which defeats the purpose of cheating in the first place. People won't pay for the decreased benefits at a higher risk. People won't make the tech if it is cost prohibitive. Furthermore, the system I'm talking about gets better over time. If you cheat multiple times, it will already have those markers and data points... it will detect it faster. You can change hardware... it doesn't matter. I'd link the exact system I'm talking about... but it would get deleted, I don't really understand why... but it's happened every time. I don't get a warning, it just gets deleted. There's videos on youtube about it though.

snieggowyにより編集済み: 5/29/2025 4:05:43 PM-blam!- keylogging that’s some spyware I would start by checking if the player is injecting or not and not logging keys like wtf. Ahh yes let’s log player inputs but ignore the literal sun sized nade that insta kills everything. Especially with how untrustworthy Bungie is. I would rather a system that doesn’t invade my privacy. And if this system your talking about is VAC 3.0 then it’s useless. It also doesn’t solve netlimiting/lag switching

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 5/29/2025 7:07:47 PMIt isn't... But yeah, you're repeating the fear mongering that led PC gaming to this Crisis. "While you're playing"... that's it, doesn't need bios access like other cheat mitigation does. Let me extrapolate to dispel your fear mongering... "[You can't hide from anyone unless you build an isolated cabin in the bush]". My college roommate was a communications officer in the Marines, I helped him study 3 months for the NASA exam he passed. I'm paraphrasing, but that's over 20 yrs ago now. I don't like it, but I have nothing to hide. You have no real privacy. Doesn't matter where you live or what VPN you use. So, let's get that out of the way to start. 2. Bungie won't be looking at what websites you visit while logged in. The system is analyzing 3 things: Input Output - what happens in-game. Feedback - the data that's sent back. Judged against Human thresholds for biological latency. If you exceed those thresholds, you're cheating. You know those security pics? It's based on similar science. What Humans can & can't do... what automation can't do without identifying itself in doing it. Because there IS automation that can count the buses and read the words, but not without revealing itself. 3. You know what I love about this system? A couple things, It can detect external hardware, there's aimbot monitors that run independently from the game and your PC. It can see that. Feathering... or 'ringing'... is when you or the system turns on and off to avoid detection. It IS ADEPT at detecting that. Very fast, because it plays to the strengths of the tech. It's looking for anomalies and markers that defy thresholds and capabilities of your inputs. If you're feathering... those data points are found quickly. 😇👍💠 To be clear, all the system does is answer one question in its analysis... "Are you human"? That's it.

Some people aren’t as comfortable as you with these type of things. But that’s getting into what’s morally right and that’s no place for that here. This system seems unrealistic to implement in Destiny 2. Yes… it seems to be really really good anti cheat if everything works properly. Yes, it would be an end all be all to most cheating scenarios if not all except for some unique ways of cheating. If it’s such a powerful anti-cheat surely it would be extremely expensive. And that’s something leadership at bungie won’t do which is quite unfortunate. More or less a pipe-dream at the moment.

elitegtryin to work with whats left.. for now - 4/3/2026 12:46:30 PM
out of all of them DMG does seem the most legit (elevate to Chief Exec of Comms with some veto power perhaps?).. and who can argue with sweeping changes to management.. but it has to be thoughtfully done. (they probably can only sideline them but have to keep them on the roster but without decision making authority) One unique way to maintain player-base with cheaters is to identify them and have them play against each other only... this can also help with some false positive bans which is probably a concern as well.. its like having a sports PED+ league.. only cheaters, cheesers, together they can have such toxic fun... Just develop a certain protocol for allowing them to clear the slate but that they will have a high chance of being identified and placed in the cheater league if found and les able to clear their names -
I don't think putting other cheaters/hackers together in the same lobbies is an intelligent move. It's like criminals in prison. Collectively some get better at their criminal activities simply by lobbying together and think-tanking. Just can them or as someone else said sue them for messing with Bungie's intellectual property. People learn real quick when you get in those pockets.

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 5/28/2025 6:25:17 PMI would keep Tyson and the creative teams in Destiny. Yes, agreed. Thoughtfully done for a change... hopefully Sony gets it, I think they do. It would be a great boost for the EoF, imo. "Under New Management"! 😇👍💠
