Engrams had more meaning in d1. I remember being excited to turn in my blue engrams and hoping for a chance at a legendary piece of gear. Also legendarys I remember used to be really excited to get.
Now in d2 tokens were the main thing and engrams were a second thought. Engrams and legendarys have lost their value and coolness.

Yeah, in D1, I hardly ever found any legendary engrams. I don't think I ever found an exotic engram. Almost all of my legendaries came from upgrading my crucible and faction rep. I think all the exotics I had came from the exotic bounty missions.
