Unfortunately, I have excellent internet. Since Bungie is the ONLY online game that rewards lagging, I want that red bar warrior power. Any way I can slow and stall my connection to get this blatant advantage for PvP? Thanks!

Unfortunately you're right, around 50% of console players are still on old gen, and a lot in general are on WiFi, then there's the big amount in general using vpns, no region filter or choice, & you're playing people with quad figure pings. & Yes, on bungies networking this favours the lagger over the better connection whether intentional or not. So you either suck it up & don't take it remotely seriously, or stop playing. I used to live in PvP many years ago, now I only play when I really have to.

I remember in D1 my clan mates would play as a 6 man team and some would start downloading movies or games to slow their connection to D1. I thought it was ridiculous but we would end up winning one game then losing the next. Sometimes playing the same groups and it was ridiculous how it was always lopsided one direction. One side would win by 50 kills then lose by the same number. We even chatted with the opposing team and they said the same thing from their experience. Also D1 had that silly red/green connection bar that did nothing. Good times.

Idk, I have good Internet now, but I just moved from a small rural town to a mid-sized city, next to a large college campus about a year ago. Anyway, I had At&t before, it was 20 Mb down & 1 Mb up, but I usually averaged about 12 down & 0.4 - 0.7 up. The game was usually only playable for the first 2 - 3 days of the billing cycle, because after that, I'd have over 700 GB worth of data downloaded, and At&t would start throttling me. When they did, the game would become a mess for me, my shots would miss all the time, and sometimes it would look like I was playing a stop-animation game. 🤣
