Hello there,
Unfortunately, this is functioning as intended and cannot be manually overridden.
What actions can limit my use of Cross Save?
The following actions will impact a player’s ability to enable or disable Cross Save:
- Players who disable Cross Save cannot re-enable Cross Save until 90 days after it was disable
- Players who purchase Silver cannot disable Cross Save until 90 days after the Silver was purchased
- Players who perform a refund for purchased Silver cannot activate Cross Save until that Silver is re-purchased for that account
- Players subject to a ban or restriction cannot activate Cross Save, or disable Cross Save if already active, until that ban or restriction has expired
To unlink Epic you'd have to disable cross-save first. While cross-save is active, every linked account on the Account Linking tab has their unlink button dimmed out, with the instruction to 'Disable Cross Save to unlink this account'. There's no other way to even try to unlink Epic except through that tab, and as it says on the tab, you have to deactivate cross-save first. So anyone saying they 'tried to unlink Epic' and that it deactivated cross save, is misunderstanding, deactivating cross save was the mandatory first step.

So as for example, if someone hacked one of my accounts, I cant protect my account by unlinking one of the accounts? (the hacked one) So then if i try to protect my account by doing that, i will not be able to play in my others platforms? as example, he plays in Geforce Now, so he cant play because the account is now linked in xbox? I mean, being honest, this doesnt have any sense i read more people in reddit, X or here that have the same problem when they try to protect their account and then they abandon the game because they dont want to wait for 90 days... This is equal to lose their money because of the season activities of the DLC will desapear when the DLC ends, everything because he wants to protect his account? nonsense... A few years a friend had the same problem, someone deleted his characters using one account that was linked. he used to play on PS4 and then changed to PC and when he unlinked the account, he was not able to play because he doesnt have PS$ anymore... Also, Bungie didnt help recovering his characters. Then he abandoned the game, also he is not the first with this problem.

I'm absolutely the wrong person to be debating Bungie's policies with, my only interest in them as a Mentor is that the policies exist, Bungie enforces them 100%, and people should be informed on what they are. I don't have to agree with the policies, and anyone who doesn't like them, can feel free to just not go ahead with agreeing to them all by accepting them during cross-save.

Bro, I feel like all of this is really unfair, but I know it’s not your decision. I’m sorry for insisting so much, but I have over 2,600 hours in the game, and I have a clan and close friends in it. I feel terrible not being able to play just because of an overly strict policy that, honestly, I truly believe doesn’t make much sense.
