When joining a Nether activity, there is a non-zero chance that you can join into a struggling session, where all the revives are gone. This is expected, because people will leave those activities simply because they expect to fail and don't want to waste time. I feel that these sessions should be barred from mid-session matchmaking. Either the matchmaking is turned off after the first boss is defeated or if a new guardian joins the session, they get to spawn before the revive tokens are considered. Otherwise, the new player to the session literally joins, only to stare at one or two other guardians play the game until they succeed or fail, with the very rare chance of them picking up a revive token. Maybe make it so any boss clear gives 2 tokens, so if anyone is dead they should respawn, but even this solution falls apart if the session is on the last section. I don't know the best solution, but this should be addressed since there is no way to avoid joining on a session in progress.

1 返信My option is simple we each spawn in with 4 lives, you waste yours enjoy spectating.

People don't leave, they get kicked for inactivity after 30 secs lol. Nothing like wasting 35 mins with 2 guys who use all the revives, you get booped off the map by the tormentor boss for your first death & Witt the boss nearly dead you get kicked for inactivity

2 通の返信There's should either be allotted tokens or the option to kick people because in most expert runs there's always one guy who just constantly leaves the group and gets punished while more often than not you'll end up getting forced to attempt to solo bosses or die trying. Other than that, though, nether has been awesome 👌

It's not a solution to this problem, but I pretty much only do Expert Nether from Fireteam Finder now. You guarantee starting a run at the beginning, the difference in enemy difficulty is negligible and the rewards are better. All you have to deal with is the occasional Unstoppable Taken Phalanx, which doesn't pose much of a threat.

It'd be cool if when a new player joins, they bring in a few tokens or something to at least keep the attempt going. But yeah, not checking the token count when considering matchmaking placement is dumb as hell.

84 通の返信Revive tokens are a dumb af mechanic anyway. It's just adding "challenge" by robbing us of our abilities that Bungie gave us from the start.

1 返信Richieにより編集済み: 2/11/2025 7:54:09 PMIt's funny because with The Nether being out and publically playable the cracks have formed immediately, and it just lends itself more to the notion that Bungie doesn't play their own game. Somehow I'm joining games that have failed because everyone is dead and no one can be revived. And what's more funny is that, 30-40 min runs are being wasted because everyone had died, no one can be revived, and so the last player alive just jumps off and ends it. The Internet seems to be having a great experience with The Nether with exploration, loot drops, "fun gameplay", etc, but then here's me with my experience of it with failed runs. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, or even playing a completely different game. This "fun" that people are talking about, I have yet to experience it for myself.

The other day I ran an Advanced MM run. Not sure what happened, whether it was on purpose or not, but the other 2 guys basically used all of the revive tokens in the first area that we were in then left. I managed to complete the activity until the boss but like 20+ people came and left during the run. MM activities like this should not have limited revive tokens when you dont have ability to heal. It should be one or the other. This direction that is being taken with Brawn, is not one that I like. I never liked Togetherness or Attrition, but this is much worse. It really sucks all of the fun out of playing, and now that its spread beyond the Nether activity, I will just not play anything that has the modifier.

1 返信Revive tokens really is a 5D chess brain play from Bungie for the seasonal activity Hey Bungie please listen to content creators and day one raiders and make game harder, ADD REVIVE TOKENS TO ALL ACTIVITIES !! how "fun" would the tower be with revive tokens, maybe only 2 and they could put a jumping puzzle between loading dock to the vault or to pick up Gunsmith Bounties you need to correctly identify the right Vow of Disciple symbol and if you don't you get a debuff that will explode in 5 seconds and wipe all the players at tower

Ngl all my runs are on expert difficulty, anyone having problems with teammates should really go into expert and experiment with builds until they find one where they can beat the activity fully. Then work on that build to make it just as easy to run a expert as it is dealing with blueberries (No offense)

1 返信They could fix this by giving everyone their own set of revive tokens. Getting tired of carrying people and having them use up all our revives. Then by the time I’m at the last boss I gotta solo him because my team is dead and bam I get no revives for myself when I finally could use them
-
I know they are two different kinds of MMO's but they should add a setting like they have in FF14 where you can choose if you want to join a session in progress or not cause it's definitely bs if you end up in a session where you literally can't get revives cause there is no tokens left.
