Tired of mini raids tbh. They need to go back to shattered throne/avarice style dungeons. A simple get in, kill things, do a a few mechanics, progress through to the boss, get loot.
Soloing this one won't be worth the headache unfortunately. Gg bongo.

Shattered is no where near the best dungeon in the game. I wouldn’t even rank it Top 3. The best Dungeon in the game, including the new one is probably Vespers Host. Both the first and second encounters are super fun and engaging, and while the third encounter can be a slog and the boss super annoying, if you play it like you would solo, it’s honestly not all that bad. Hell, sticking on one platform where the bosses spawn in, while switching to center when the main Boss TPs is arguably one of the best DPS strategies in the game. Plus, it has one of the best aesthetics in the game for any Dungeon. Most Dungeons end up being more of the same when it comes to environments, but Vespers Host takes the Deep Stone Crypt aesthetic and twists it to make it wholly unique to the dungeon. The only other Dungeons to do this were the Witch Queen Dungeons, with the Nightmare realm in Duality and the whole Warmind aesthetic being mostly unique to Spire of the Watcher.

The lowest bar of the ladder is very high indeed...the plot holes in the story alone having no context of anything in just the strike playlist much less the seasonal stuff.. and none of the mechanics have proper tutorials watched a few blueberries unable to kill a lucent knight for a few minutes cuz they don't release how kill it's ghost so I had to intervene no telling how long they would have been stuck in that room and people wonder why New players don't stick around....
Can you imagine trying to understand Destiny 2 as a new player ?
It's insane the hoops a New Light has to jump through. Easily one of the least casual friendly titles on the market. There is no potential for growth left in this franchise. New players are sent through a cheese grater in anything they touch.

You know, reading your comment has made me realize that this game is getting beyond my concentration levels too, and I've been playing since day one. I used to really look forward to new content in the past, and trying to work through it blind with a few clanmates. But now, I watch a "how to" guide and think, "no, I'll give it a miss" without even giving it a go. They all basically contain the same obstacles, finding and reading symbols, an annoying jumping section, and killing a final bullet sponge with millions of health points that keeps teleporting and disappearing, whilst constantly being under intense fire by neverending ads that never seem to have to reload their weapons. If world war two had been this complex, it would still be going on today. Their choice to exchange challenging fun for frustration was a bad move in my opinion.

No. I care. i think people actually misunderstand you. your words do cut deep but i actually look for your commentary these days. if you notice i respect what you say and i think i get your humor a bit too. even when i disagree. i genuinely want to know what you thought or think of as the best time in destiny? mine was that time after the dlc where cayde died until the recent changes to leveling. what about you?

The mechanics aren't complicated in the slightest, they're just tedious quirks with 600 enemies in each room to give the illusion of difficulty. PvE sweats already have master raids and GMs, I dunno why dungeons suddenly have to be thrown into the "bítchless sweat fest" category. There's a reason the old dungeons were more popular. People don't want to get on and immediately have to play like their family's lives depend on it

It's really not that bad, first encounter on contest was a fight against the time more than difficulty. Second once we figured out the wheels it seems manageable. We're going in to finish today but apparently 3rd is a joke compared to second.

I'm more or less talking from a solo run perspective. I'm sure with a full team everything is much more manageable. My gripe is that older dungeons were fun and challenging in their own ways, solo or teamed. These new ones just feel like -blam!- the whole way through.
