Just to start this off, I know that many people don't care about the pvp side of Destiny 2 especially not the competitive pvp side. I have been playing the game since beta year 1 and matchmaking has always been something that is annoying to deal with when its skill based, but manageable. For reference I hover around a 1.8-2.2 across all of my accounts (none of which are banned). I love destiny 2 pvp, but the matchmaking system in competitive is HORRIBLE, I seriously have considered not playing on my main account and going back to one of my old accounts, because I hit ascendant last season. The rank based matchmaking is great in theory, but when I do carries and there is no adjustment whatsoever and we continue to match people openly telling us they are ximming not walling (cheating is cheating). It makes it really difficult for a pvp player like myself to continue playing till trials comes out. If the matchmaking system doesn't get fixed I won't ever be able to hit ascendant on this account because placing plat 3 and then matching cheaters for 8 games before the guy gets banned is UNREAL. It is sooooooooooo frustrating when trying to help my buddies get ascendant when I can't match anything, but hardcore cheaters and ximmers in gold 3 lobbies. YES GOLD 3 I WENT FROM PLAT 3 TO GOLD 3 SOLELY FROM MATCHING CHEATERS!!!! Please fix this broken -blam!- system bungie. This isn't rank based matchmaking its wow your player score was high heres SBMM which is not what a competitive playlist is supposed to be. I shouldn't have people who already are ASCENDANT in GOLD 3 Lobbies Hopefully bungie hears this and changes something. I fear that wont happen though, as a member of the pvp community who has been ignored for long periods of time throughout the years.
