Take aim assist off both shotguns and fusion rifles. Both have become panic buttons, especially shotguns. They both make smg's and sidearms irrelevant. Now, let's hear from all the players saying they're not a problem, super easy to counter, blah, blah, blah. Then when I check their load outs, everyone is running shotgun.

3 通の返信You talking about slugs cuz... if you're referring to pellets; they basically don't have any AA....you can run slick draw on a pellet and perform just fine.

4 通の返信I love these posts. Bungie will do something like this because players ask for it, then other players will pop up and blame Bungie for nerfing things "for no reason at all." Makes me laugh every time.

9 通の返信shotguns are fine, fusions not sure, on pc outside the broken garden one is rare to see a fusion even with the majority of pc playerbase using controller

When they added ae they removed the accuracy penalty but gave every weapon an aim assist penalty. Wanna know what happened? Ghost bullets. Turns out aim assist is the only thing stopping guns from straight up not being able to hit targets. This is why AE now only gives like a 10 aim assist penalty to pretty much everything and a small accuracy + small aim assist penalty to shotguns, fusions, and linear fusions. Edit: Also to mention fusions and shotguns aren't as forgiving (Unless we're talking shotguns like chaperone or the explosive fusions like telesto) needing the pellets/bolts to basically hit the target versus other weapons where the bullets can miss but still hit. Their aa is probably the least noticeable in the game other than rockets.
