Reasons i stopped playing:
- corporate greed
- competent devs got fired, a skeleton crew of devs who dont know their audience and have zero passion for the game is in charge now
- game is basically abandonen by Bungie in favor of now failed new ip's
- absolute primary focus on mtx's rather than gameplay and player fun
- player engagement number focus = wasting players time by stretching unnecessary grinds to satisfy shareholders
- zero content for main pillar game modes, instead throwaway garbage content to sell seasons
- The DCV
- Zero effort to fight against cheaters (ximmers, actual cheaters, network manipulation etc)
- Terrible matchmaking that made pvp players leave (SBMM) in casual gamemodes
- Ancient netcode
- Never listening to actual players feedback but instead listening to elitist 24/7 gamers/content creators feedback
- Made the game too hard for the vast majority of players
- Difficulty in general is fun and makes games interesting. The "difficulty" these devs chose isnt. Bullet sponges are not fun in shooters.
- Ability spam / build crafting focus (biggest strength of Destiny was gunplay). Now you spam abilities cause everything is too hard for the peashooter weapons
-Story telling is cringe and uninspired
- The games death sentence was signed when they announced they arent doing major DLC annualy anymore
Thats my most important and significant reasons. The list would go on but ia have a 30 word essay due tomorrow so i cant continue :) To sum it up, D2 = bad nowadays and has no hope on the horizon to recover.

Difficulty setting is coming in the Frontier. I don't think it is for playlist obviously. It could add a easier level than normal for dungeon and raid. It is useful for the beginner to get to learn the mechanics without wiping over and over. Of course, the rewards would be adjusted accordingly.

Agee on almost everything except the build crafting. This is part of the fun and the feeling of growing power in any MMo component game. Pure gunplay is for CoD or CS, what makes Destiny stand apart are the abilities, this is not an issue imo.

For me it's this game's horrid build crafting options. Most of the mods and perks are worthless, the subclasses in most cases give you 3 core builds to work off of, many of the fragments aren't helpful, and most grenade choices are ineffective (void wall for example), most classes only get 1 melee option. Many of the exotics are useless, bugged, or redundant (titan does not need this many melee damage buffing exotics). It all feels too one dimensional when looking at what has existed during the life of the franchise and what exists in other games. Purely as an example, in warframe multiple frames that can go invisible. Each one however uses their invisibility in different ways and get different benefits from it which helps make the frames not feel one dimensional. What Bungie could do to start improving build crafting is to add new abilities not as aspects.
-
One of the things I disliked about the 3.0 system is the fragments that all 3 classes have access to and all the grenades. In my opinion it takes away from class identity sure there's the base abilities and jumps and aspects but idk it feels too similar sometimes
-
It would be nice if certain fragments got class specific buffs, or if running certain fragment combos, buffed specific aspects. It could create a niche for less desirable fragments. There is also the issue of limited fragment slots with some builds compared to others. If slots were used based on the strength of the fragment instead of the aspect, it might shake up the sandbox.
-
My point was that most of the mods and fragments are not useful. (I will preface this that I speak from a pve perspective) For mods there are plenty like emergency reinforcement that isn't useful (it provides 15% dr on low health l, which is the same as one resistance mod). It is a similar situation with fragments in that most builds end up using the same fragments, because either those fragments provide a great benefit or because many of them aren't useful to certain classes (such as echo of starvation for devour on void or echo of domineering which only titans can make full use of). There needs to be more options and currently underused options need to get buffed or remade.

ZigZagにより編集済み: 12/21/2024 3:18:12 PMThis is a super legit list. I haven’t quit full yet because…. I gotta get that new Uzume baby! Haha jk. New as in they literally changed the picture. I’ll say this, I not only want Marathon to fail but I want it to heroically fail so bad that Bungie is disolved and swallowed whole as it sits and is remade by Sony to produce a D3 in ten years.

The bans/anti cheat are doing the bare minimum and BNGSecurity seems to be fine with that.
