Ten? Twenty? Fifty?
Over the course of almost 2 weeks I decrypted around 40-50 IB engrams and all i wanted was the deconstruct chill clip roll.
What is the icing on the cake is that my other 3 clanmates that we ran IB with got the roll that I wanted within 1-2 days.
Grinding is one thing, asphyxiation is another.

Sheesh.

2 通の返信I would love to see a system like in division 2 where you can use crafting to transfer/save a perk to a perk library. Then use the saved perks to replace a perk on another weapon yo make it a good weapon with wanted rolls. This doesn’t come cheap, but it stops this silly rng nonsense where many players just don’t get the rolls.

Literally all I did in the game for the last two weeks was play Iron Banner (with occasional breaks to try and recoup some of the glimmer I was burning through). All three characters. And I truly, truly hate PvP in this game, because it's the most unbalanced, bug ridden, shambolic mess that I've ever seen in a multiplayer mode or game. I reckon I must have gone through 90 engrams give or take and after unlocking the ornaments on all three characters (because I have NEVER played IB on this account), EVERY SINGLE ONE went toward a Tinasha's Mastery, and out of all of those, I only got chill clip in the second column TWICE, let alone anything decent in the first column. The more you play this game, the more you realise that Bungie really, REALLY don't want you to...

Ive played more IB in the last two weeks than the rest of my life combined. The RNG of perk roll drops, is broken. I've dismantled dozens and dozens of terrible, useless perk roll sidearms. Whatever drop I get 1st that day, I will get 5 or 6 more of the same garbage roll after. I haven't seen a chill clip drop since day 1.
-
3 通の返信That's not how probability works. There is the chance to get the sidearm (1/# of weapons & armor, lets say 10) There is the chance to get your perfect perks. (1/8) and (1/7). Even if you cared about nothing else, that would be a... (1/10)*(1/8)*(1/7) = 1/560 chance 1/560 chance to get the weapon from an engram.

Couldn’t agree more. My own experience tells me there’s perk weighting issues with exotic class items too. I kept decent track of my drops the last 2 weeks of farming for a specific roll. It took nearly 80 drops with attunement active to get inmost/claw. I also got a dozen drops of the same perk combo along the way. After that grind I can’t be convinced there isn’t a serious issue.

1 返信Guardian1309により編集済み: 12/8/2024 4:01:22 PMRIGHT?!?!?! There should be a method to attune for exactly what we want (WITHOUT tonics please!) or simply have crafting setup for IB like we had, pre-Rev tonic crap, to forge exactly what we want. The grind in this game just worse and worse and worse. Then we were gifted with crafting then they took it away from us (for new weapons anyways). Oh and lets not forget all that grinding for Chroma Rush tonics and not getting and Chroma Rush's is well Bungo still screwing us over. And yet I still play - why WHY am I such a moron that I keep playing into this Bungo forged Sisyphus insanity.

2 通の返信Definitely seems like RNG is still just straight up broken I can't get desirable rolls on anything. Seasonal weapons and IB weapons. What a waste of time. Last few IB matches were just chock full of ximers\cheaters. Left a real bad taste in the mouth...

5 通の返信Motorhead Englandにより編集済み: 12/9/2024 1:50:26 PMBefore I make my comment, I'd like to state that I'm not defending Bungie for the drop rates or the recent exposure to the "weightgate" or whatever it was called, but just giving my 2 penneth. We have to think what RNG means, random number generator, and I've stated numerous times on here that true RNG can only happen in nature. A programmed RNG by it's very nature, isn't random, but it can be relatively close. RNG is totally different to a percentage drop rate. For example, if a roll has a 10% chance of dropping, we should get that roll at least once within 10 engrams. With a pretty accurate RNG, that roll may never drop in a thousand engrams, or you may get the same roll multiple times. So I'm all in favour of swapping RNG for a percentage drop rate, obviously with a higher percentage rate than the pathetic 1 or 2% they use for the exotic raid weapons. Yes, we all wanted Bungie to fix the RNG problem, but that may have made things worse for the drop rates of the god rolls we all grind for, because all it's done is to even out the perk combinations, NOT increase the drop rates.

1 返信Haven’t played a single game. Haven’t played the game a single time in weeks. I just now understand what the community means when they say the game is not for casuals. You got to be a no life, or you’re out. And the less you play, the less you understand -blam!- of what’s going on in the game. So basically some strikes, or PvP games, and hop in the dust.

2 通の返信I done some grinding on both my accounts & got a few decent rolls on each. I was gonna do a little bit more but I keep looking at the intrinsic perk & think to myself.. That does nothing in PvE. It's a null perk. I don't play PvP. And when I do, I totally suck. So why would I play a mode I don't like, a mode I'm bad at, for a weapon that could only ever be 4 of 5 🤔 Then I had a look at some of the Strand GLs I got along the way.. and they have 2 intrinsic perks to choose from.. yet the new weapon doesn't? Ahm.. is this is a mistake or a carrot that's not worth the stick 🤔 I know my phrasing is a bit orf.. but I think you'll get my point.. It's the oddest thing. Grind PvP to get a PvE weapon with a PvP intrinsic that doesn't work in PvE.. Is someone at Bungle HQ having a larf?

10 通の返信lol only 20-50 that’s nothing in scheme of things. Man all the people on here just while when they don’t get something within first few try’s it’s pathetic and entitled brat behaviour. When this game was striving was when there was rare -blam!- for people to grind imo everything is handed out now. Nothing rare and make u feel excited when u finally get it anymore

24 通の返信Statistics Time! Tinasha has 7 perks in each column, so there are 49 possible perk combos that can drop. The possibility of any one perk combo dropping is just over 2%. We can also say that each engram you decrypt has just under a 98% chance of not being what you want. So for your 50 engrams, you had about 64% chance of getting what you wanted. Decent odds but not a guarantee. Generally in stats the odds for a 'guarantee' is 95%, and I'm sorry to say that to reach those odds you'd need to decrypt 146 total engrams. The stats say Bungie demands another 96 engrams from you.

1 返信There are like thousands of combinations, don't be surprised that it takes awhile to get what you want.
