LFG a couple GM's.
You'll be swimming in them in no time.
I do agree with you tho, they should be available through all game modes.

I mostly do crucible and onslaught, so I am always overloaded on alloys. I don't really get as many shards, though. But as for the GM's, I'd probably end up being a carry. I'm not really a strong PVE player. Unless it's boss damage, them I'm your man. But I don't have final shape right now because I'm switching from console to PC. The grandmasters might not be an option for me at the moment.

And don’t worry about GMs. They’re not really very hard right now, even if you would be a carry, most people on lfg I have encountered would not care.
