Question for Players of Destiny about Marathon?
I think Bungie should start a Whole new Destiny Universe and make a Destiny 3, The Golden Years, where it all began.

I’m not buying the game because it’s a different genre that doesn’t appeal to me. If I like a game that a studio puts out doesn’t automatically mean I have to like everything they put out. Whether or not the game is a failure is up to people who like and already play those types of PvP games. I don’t understand what people envision in D3. All I imagine is that it’s like now but all of your vault space cleared out for you.

And by that I mean, I'm buying Marathon if it comes out and probably whatever Destiny they come out with. I think they scrapped just about everything else but I would have bought that too.

No one asked for it, and it’s a complete waste of time and recourses. Destiny could’ve been so much better if Bungie didn’t waste years of manpower on a game no one cares about.

2 通の返信Gonna try it out. Marathon is rich in lore, lots of stuff to work with for the extraction genre. I would rather have d2 refreshed than a d3. How much do you want a 3rd vog raid race or the 3rd icebreaker because people won't stop whining about adding back things from d1 to d2. If you want d3, be prepared to re-re-re grind the loot you currently have.

2 通の返信I was really excited for it until I found out it's hero-based and it completely kiled the hype for me. I'll wait to see gameplay. Also Marathon and D3 have absolutely nothing to do with each other and scrapping Marathon wouldn't then transfer those same resources to D3 so that would be incredibly dumb.

Will likely give it a try, but extraction shooters aren’t my thing - I get too anxious about losing my loot. A D3 isn’t a bad idea, but story-wise is tough right now. Bungie hasn’t really started the “what’s next” part of a new saga.

1 返信After d2 I’ll never play a live service game again. So tired of more effort being put into cosmetics than actual gameplay.

I love extractions, but after I finish up the content I paid for I’ll never buy another bungie game again. The only reason I’m going to finish up this episode, and the next is because of the dreadnaught returning.
