Ok so I can see t he idea of the new hunter Exotic helmet, killing/breaking frozen combatants with your withering blades to make extra ones burst out is a cool idea. How ever…..it’s not. See I’ve been using the new helmet for a while and yes I like the extra bounces from enemy to enemy, but it still needs to be fixed or changed a little. See the problem is it’s not like the withering blades automatically freeze enemies. And it’s not like it gives you a third charge, making three withering blades to throw. I propose, that the new Hunter exotic helmet gives you another “stasis” melee charge (x3 total) or makes it to where any enemy frozen then killed or stasis crystals broken (by any weapon or grenade, ect) automatically burst out withering blades from said enemy or stasis crystal.
I tried it and had fun.
It seems to work on shattering any crystal, not just those created by withering blade, and it seems to proc no matter how you shatter the crystal.
Additionally, the blades that spawn from shattering crystals can spawn more crystals, letting you chain the effect.
Also it seemed like it reduces the cooldown of withering blade slightly.
