paying for ice breaker is a joke
So I'd like to talk about how stupid this company is because they hyped up the Ice Breaker for months on months, and what do these freaking morons do? $20 paywall for a gun that should be freaking free. I'm so over this hiding exotics behind paywalls that shouldn't exist bullshit we keep doing with this game. I didn't buy the last 2 dungeon keys because they're a waste of money. Why the hell would I pay for a third one? To put this into perspective, to buy all 3 dungeon keys is roughly $70+ USD because of tax. So no, Bungie, I won't be buying your shitty paywall for a gun that should be freaking free. You can take this DLC and shove it.

3 通の返信Putting ice breaker behind the dungeon was a bad decision. Historically I've been fine with returning D1 exotics, raids, and other content because they've been free to play/earn and felt more like extra content. The dungeon deserved its own exotic that matched its theme and ice breaker should have been a seasonal exotic or included as a quest in the 10th anniversary event.

Let's not forget D1 players had this and then sunset. We grind, we get, they destroy --we grind, we get --rinse and repeat. Just the MO of this game. Kinda insanity if you ask me ---doing same thing over and over again hoping for new result. Especially, for weapons and content WE HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR 😆

Dungeon was fun to play through, but if the exotic is all you want from it then yeah, I'd say skip this one. Small weapon pool, partially un-shaderable models. Disappointment. But at least the armor is better than Deep Stone raid.

I find it weird that you need to get kills with Ice Breaker to complete that one Guardian rank challenge that’s usually for getting g kills with the season pass weapon. Which in that case, it sort of implies that Ice Breaker was going to be the season pass exotic for this episode at one point? Guess I’ll be stuck at Guardian rank 6, not that the number next to player’s names means anything.

1 返信its just the same with season pass, now they want 2000 silver LMAO 20 bucks for 0 content - 0 season weapon crafting - 0 good weapons only trash perks. dungeon worthless with these 5 trash weaps with bigger trashi perks... no1 will use it, no1 will farm for it.

It's more or less the same as gally, right?? A once loved exotic being available within a dungeon... slight difference being that 30th anniversary was cheaper, it's own release with another activity and the quest granted the drop. Plus, the dungeon key unlocks a whole other dungeon next episode as well. Dungeon keys are expensive.... but so was the final shape pre-order; that cost more than a full release title. If you want to pay for content you want, without having to spend money on anything else, then there's the option to... and it will cost less (unless you decide to get it all, later).

The average player don’t know what Icebreaker is and/or don’t do dungeons. Tripping over a 20 dollar price tag is still hella silly regardless.

Yeah I didn't even buy it. Not going to keep forking money for stuff that should be free. If you buy the episode, it should include all content released during it. Super cool and nostalgic gun, but not for 20 bucks lmao.

I don't like it either, but some people really want all D1 exotics back. Considering it is a completely different weapon compared to D1 icebreaker it could have been a new sniper. I remember how people were really upset about Centrifuge not being a Zhalo supercell, so Bungie probably thought that in terms of marketing it was easier to sell old classic rather than something new. I don't really care about this stuff as long as it's different from D1 and good. And it's definitely different, it is the first sniper designed for add clear, which is pretty interesting. Not sure if I'm going to use it, but at least it's not as boring as D1 version.
