It's not taking anything away from you if someone gets something a different way , but anytime there is a post asking for a solo option , rabid defenders of the mission dogpile them , like they asked for bacon at a vegan convention
How do you think Trials players feel that you can get adepts without going flawless , but I don't see any "Do it the way it was designed" posts from them , infact you can go flawless without ever speaking to anyone now, another activity that was designed for fireteams , changed to be more accessible to the wider community
It looks like petty gatekeeping at this point
uSe lfG, nah like lfg was the missing solution that we have never used in 10 years of playing this game. "How do you not have a freind", probably because they quit this game because of bs like this "It's a multi-player game", and it's the only multi-player game that has content designed to alienate solo players, maybe one reason its dying
It isn't going to effect you in the least if there is a solo destiny!!!, get over yourself already!!!, it's like people who complain about speedrunning and quick swapping, even though it has zero effect on them
We are not asking for an easy mission, we solo Dungeons and GMs, we are just asking for an alternate path, like there is for 99% of everything else in the game

4 通の返信shwabbywabbyにより編集済み: 8/22/2024 11:08:04 AMDestiny is not a solo player game. Yes you can do most content solo but the actual game is designed around a fireteam and it’s sold as a multiplayer game. Bungie knows that left to our own devices solo players won’t get out of their comfort zone to make friends so every so often they make content that forces us to team up with others and even talk to them. This is not some dastardly plan to make us question our existence but rather give us a the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully make friends and funnily enough the game is way way better played with friends! I know because I used to be a solo player when I started back in D1. It wasn’t until the sword quests that I started making friends and guess what? The game was 100 times better because of those friends who I still play with to this day! Now if you put a solo only way into unlocking the class armour everyone will just do that because people don’t like getting out their comfort zone. But that would come at the expense of all the possible friendships that could come about through this one mission.

What's stopping you from running it? Not in general, I mean you personally. You've ran plenty of raids and dungeons - neither of which are matchmade. Why not run the mission? It looks like you're gatekeeping yourself at this point.

All of my real life friends have quit this game already, there were 11 of us playing regularly together last season ... now I'm the only one. And yeah, forget lfg, I'm never doing that again. So, I'll never get an exotic class item, and I'm okay with that ... this game is basically done anyways.

41 通の返信They want to gatekeep and piss on other people. They're miserable losers with nothing subtantial to differenciate themselves from their peers. In fact, they're lesser than most of their peers. But they somehow maintain a delusion of superiority because that's how they cope. This is something they latched on to in order to help reinforce that delusion. They need it. It's painful being them and this tiny elevation is essential to maintaining a semblance of self-worth.

39 通の返信iOaweにより編集済み: 8/21/2024 3:17:35 PMThey’ll never understand. They’ll always bash the solo players as if it’s their fault their friend quit the game. They’ll always say use LFG or fireteam finder like it’s a good idea when in reality, the community is super toxic.

2 通の返信A_moにより編集済み: 8/25/2024 7:12:18 PMHas anyone considered that it might be the tons of sanctimonious bs that people pipe out about this "issue" on a daily basis that makes some people want this to be something where people are just told no. Oh my god you were told no. Also, didn't they say they're looking into it?

3 通の返信Roachにより編集済み: 8/21/2024 5:46:59 PMI am tired of hearing about these class items. I have never done Dual Destiny and never will. It looks boring and tedious and I just cannot be bothered with it. The RNG on the items themselves is clearly rigged to not give you what you want and I am just bone tired of the hamster wheels in this game. The real issue is not whether there is a solo option or not, it's the fact it was highlighted as an integral part of Final Shape .. and there was ZERO mention of it being hidden behind a mission because they didn't want to lose the little amount of pre-orders they had. Another example of Bungie being less than honest. Another example of something being hidden behind a tedious chore. Another example of why they are back to the same number of players they had six months ago. The exotic class item is just a symptom of what is killing this game .. Bungie and their endless need to make everything more complicated and pointless than it needs to be. No wonder players are walking away.

5 通の返信Trials did get gutted for casuals… This is a multiplayer game. It is ok to lock stuff behind MULTIPLAYER.

67 通の返信Can people really say that they're being gatekept when the only thing stopping them from getting the things they want are their own personal choices? If you choose to play solo, that's fine and dandy, but you also have to be willing to accept that there may be things that you aren't able to do due to that choice.

Dooodleyにより編集済み: 8/21/2024 7:56:30 PMAs someone who has done it and has been using LFG quite frequently for other stuff lately I just think it's terrible game design. Now, that's a highly subjective view but I just hate all these overly complicated mechanics where people are forced to communicate. That stuff is for raids - or at least Destiny raids, because you can find plenty of raids in proper MMO's where you dont need to communicate as long as you've read up on the mechanics. I just don't see why they had to put the communication criteria on this mission when the same criteria isnt there for a lot of things that I personally would deem as more advanced content. And for that reason I'm all for there being a solo path - such as a reward for completing X amount of PH pathfinders, because that thing is just tedious and not something people should be doing just for fun.

2 通の返信I cannot speak for everyone, but I can tell you why I have a problem with it. We are what, nearly 3 months out from the final shapes launch now? I have heard plenty of people asking for a solo route to earn them, but its never in the tone of "this would be a good thing to have, can we please have the option?" Its usually more "these need to be obtainable solo and bungie is failing its entire fanbase and are terrible game devs for not doing it" Now, im not gonna say that bungie are the best devs in the world, but when we are still having this same discussion, framed the exact same way, three months later? Just go run the mission once. Its not that hard, and it speaks to a kind of immaturity that so many people would rather not do it and demand that the devs cater to them than do a single activity with one other person literally once and then never have to do it again. Like, take some level of personal responsibility. Do what you can to mitigate the issue. ANYTHING AT ALL. Hell, if anybody here really wants the item that bad I have that mission down to a science, my fastest run with an experienced player is sub 15 minutes. If you can communicate in any way, I can basically guarantee you a clear if you have any interest in actually getting the item rather than just complaining about it.

3 通の返信Honestly, it shouldn’t be this divisive of a suggestion. Give solo players a way to obtain an exotic class item (not asking for an easy way either) while co-op players have dual destiny, nothing wrong with options. I haven’t ran dual destiny yet but I don’t care if there’s different options for the player base. I also didn’t care that PC players were able to use macros to farm exotic class items easily since console players didn’t have that luxury. We’re all familiar with the -blam!- rng in this game so whatever can be done to alleviate some of that annoying grind is always welcomed.

8 通の返信There should be a solo path for everything. It just makes good business sense. But for some reason, this company decided they'd rather the game die and employees get canned than to give players what they want, so that's what they got.

To be honest after updating my last post and what bungie said, I can think of a better way for solo and teams of two So since we are getting the ability to focus on perks, I feel like the drop chance for the specific class item should be higher if you did dual destiny meaning your taking more time for a higher chance vs a easier and faster grind, keeping people playing the mission if they want better chances and giving solo’s what they want

1 返信Bungie, June 4th, 2024: "The cherry on top for Prismatic is the addition of new Exotic class items. These are exclusive to the Prismatic subclass, and you earn them through a unique activity in The Final Shape. Each of these Exotic class items has a mix of two Exotic armor perks, allowing for combos that were not possible before. Check out the list of Exotic perk combinations here. " https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/the_final_shape_launch_blog Says " You can earn...." Not "we will give..." And if you know english, "you" can mean singular or plural...so Bungie is technically not lying. Again, reading is hard. No one questioned why we can't get free gear, or new supers, etc. as it clearly states, you can earn.

8 通の返信Wintermute 2050により編集済み: 8/22/2024 11:31:48 PMDual Destiny is one of the worst missions ever released. It seems as if whomever was working on it ran out of time, and the mission was released prematurely in its current state. There is no way that even an above average player would discover 3 bosses have to be killed to begin the steps. Data mining and watching videos provide this important first step. The lack of defined quest steps reinforces the idea that the mission was not fully developed. A two-player activity indicates Bungie must have not had enough time to test the mission fully with 3 players, and they released it for 2 players since they only had time to test it this much. FAIL! No matchmaking again?! How many times do we have to endure this nonsense? If you don't have enough time to test an activity completely, then do not release it! As for the numerous rolls on the class item, here again it seems like they had no time to test them and select a subset, so they released the entire set.

1 返信Well said. People arguing vociferously against a solo path being added seem to think there’s some moral argument to be made. I was actually told that, if Bungie capitulates and gives solo players a way to get exotic class items, it’s a “loss for society”. First off, this is literally a game. Second, no one arguing in favor of a solo route is advocating for taking class items away from those who have already acquired them.
