I don't know what the hell your on, but Knife Trick sucks. It can't kill -blam!-. Weighted and Proxy are both really good, especially with Knock 'Em Down and Assassin's Cowl. The only problem I have is the self-damage from Proxy. Lightweight is crap.

TheLastNerfにより編集済み: 8/21/2024 7:00:30 PMKnife Trick is far easier to use, and extremely easy to loop with both Singeing and Searing, with the damage also being great. Weighted is generally used at longer ranges, and requires precision hits to be most effective, while enemies often preemptively dodge or hide their crit spot while you wind it. This is not to mention how it does such little damage comparatively. Proxy has major consistency issues, like how landing a body shot on a tough enemy such as a legionary will sometimes leave it with a sliver of health. I don't see any issue with Knife Trick, as it fulfills the role of a close range utility melee pretty well.

Close range meaning point-blank. Knife trick only does a Tiny bit of health even then and the scorch isn't worth it when you have other players to immediately dispatch the enemy. Proxy is great for ad clear, no knife is going to take care of a larger enemy like butter. If you're lucky Weighted will oneshot a Knight with a headshot. Also, sniping with the weighted is a dumb idea. Of course the enemy will jump out of the way when it takes a few seconds to hit. Proxy's only problem, again, is the self-damage. I will NEVER understand how people can call Knife Trick a god-tier ability. It's trash.

TheLastNerfにより編集済み: 8/22/2024 4:15:47 AMKnife Trick with all blades hitting body shots is only 9% weaker than a Weighted Knife that hits a precision. With all precision hits, Knife Trick is 19% more damage than a Weighted, and both values are before any Scorch ticks. Also, I feel that I should point this out as well, but a Proxy Knife that hits full explosive damage with a precision hit is just 2% weaker than a Weighted precision hit. Obviously each of these fulfills different roles, with Proxy just being add clear, Weighted meant for major damage, and Knife Trick being a mix of major damage and utility, at the cost of range. This Proxy buff makes up for the inconsistencies it has without causing additional problems to arise in PvP, like if they were to increase the blast radius, reduce the cooldown, or cause the explosion to occur in front of enemies for example. A Weighted Knife buff like this would give it a bit more purpose and power, without forcing you to rely on an exotic. It's really telling when anything is so bad that it needs an exotic to allow it to perform well. Some other minor notes I have: - By longer ranges I mean around 20m or so, which is pretty normal distance to attempt uses of a ranged projectile melee - Proxy Knife is not really something you should be throwing in close range, it's essentially a "fire and forget" type ability that is supposed to easily clear any minor enemies - I wouldn't say Knife Trick is "god tier", but the lower cooldown, paired with the much greater utility it provides, and respectable damage without accuracy requirements makes it a pretty compelling option

You say knife trick does more than weighted, yet even with precision hits you can't kill an enemy. Weighted on the other hand one-shots with a headshot no matter the resilience. Proxy is so much more weaker than just 2%. Weighted is so broken.

Dad,OutForMilk(Timelost)により編集済み: 8/24/2024 3:18:11 AMWhy would YOU use it there? You say it's soo much better. You were just preaching about how good it was and now you tell me it sucks? Edit: Did some testing and you're WAAAY off. The values displayed for Weighted were consistently over 30K while Knife Trick was consistently 13K, BOTH on precision hits.

I didn't suggest using it for PvP. PvP has different tuning that makes Knife Trick a lot worse than other options due to the limited range and lower total damage, which either isn't shared or doesn't affect it in PvE. The only mention I made of PvP was to describe how any other types of buffs to Proxy could spill over into Crucible and make it really annoying and spammy like it was before 3.0 subclasses.

Well regardless, did some testing against knights in the Skywatch and got a consistent 30K out of the weighted's displayed value. Knife Trick consistently gave me 13K on the display value. Both using precision values.
