They use rng to literally describe whats happening. I think they need to clarify because I for one don’t trust that they would be generous but I’m open to being wrong.

If they use rng to describe something there’s a purpose for that. Have you not been around when whoever writes the twid gets it wrong and then they clarify? Why would they need rng for something that’s 1 of 2 drops. You don’t need rng for that it’s just a rotator.

Even what they do specifically say doesn't always matter. I can think of more than a few times they screwed up and either never said anything at all or they clarified it in something like Twitter, because their own forums for some reason should only ever get less than the bare minimum of information/ interaction.
