Should bungie increase loot drop rate in raids and dungeons (there are so many of them)
I have been thinking for awhile about the loot drop rate in dungeons, raids and maybe even grand master nightfall.
I personally wouldn’t mind an increase in loot drop rate especially since they take time, preparation, skill, hard and effort to complete, lets not forget and synchronized fireteam. The loot rate as of now feels very underwhelming and seemingly barebones to the point of losing motivation to even grind a specific dungeon or raid for one specific weapon with stats you’re looking for.
I understand some players may not like this because they may think that less players will play these activities because “they may get everything all at once” but I believe thats not the case at all. I play all these activities and I hate playing the entire thing and only getting about 1,2 or 3 things from that activity. To make matters worse it’ll be something I never wanted with stats that are beyond terrible. Imagine playing it again a few more times…. Then imagine the time it takes to replay those activities…it leads to hours on end of wasted time and effort to only get little to nothing of anything from a raid, dungeon or grand master nightfall and then have a mail box filled with random world drops that you’ve already seen and scraped hundreds of times.
I think to make up for players hardwork, time and effort (because you cannot get back time you’ve wasted) I think bungie should at least increase the loot drop rate for chest to at least 2 or 3 drops per chest so that even if you don’t get what you want it doesn’t feel as bad as only getting one thing, you’re chances of the thing you want is increased and you get a chance to decent rolls from other weapons you may want to try from raids and dungeons.
I honestly believe with the increased loot drop rate, it would motivate all types of players to farm some of these more difficult activities and have alot less burnout from players grinding it all day. The high risk would finally feel worth the reward, rather than barely getting anything and feeling like you’re wasting your time playing one raid or dungeon dozens of times to never get anything you actually want.
I know some of you can relate to this( the ones who’ve played something 20+ times and got nothing in return) im excited to see your responses. Please be fair and friendly
Have a fantastic day!!! 👊😎

I think raid are completely fine as they are. I'd even say they are the most rewarding activity in the game. Let's use Salvations Edge as an example. First off all armor doesn't really matter. You get it once if you like the looks that it. The roles are always bad and it's not artifice anyways.
This leaves us with 6 weapons or 30 red borders to get. You get three guaranteed per week. The chance for a drop to be a weapon is about 60% and there's about a 20% chance to be a red border. You get 7 items per run so on average you get another 0,6 red borders per run. This results in about 5 red borders in the 3 weekly runs. So after about 6 weeks or 18 runs you should have all of the weapons craftable. I can definitely back this as all my team members had all red borders after 5-7 weeks.

As I already stated I don't think raids should be changed. Strikes are in weird spot. GM heavily depent on which strike is active, what weapon is available and if double loot is active. Most GMs last less than 15mins and for them I think one drop is enough. But stuff like Corrupted or Battleground last 20 to 25mins and those definitely aren't worth it for me if there is no double loot. As I said it always depends on the strike but with double loot active so often I think its also fine as it currently is.
Dungeons are definitely the least rewarding of the 3 activities. You have a relatively big lootpool and no craftables. I think it would be enough to add double loot weeks like we have for nightfalls though.

I doubt it would change anything. Most players that don't do raids don't base their decision on loot but they don't want to play with randoms or don't want to engage with harder content.

After 20 Raid runs you should have nearly everything craftable. And 20 GMs are only 1,5 evenings. I don't think a godroll should drop that quick every time.
