Every Activity. Even Campaign and Lost Sectors are now victims to useless and way to much immunity shields.
Bungie for the love of your game, remove them.
Especially in Campaign and Lost Sectors from TFS they are just absurd beyond comprehension.
2 of the 3 lost sectors got immunity mechs left and right. It just feels like a unfunny and unwanted puzzle and not like a logical mechanic to that encounter.
Act two Bosses also got immunity shields, health gates and useless porting over the top, too. You really unlearned how to make a decent encounter now?
I thought the Neumuna Lost Sectors were bad, but in the pale heart you shattered that easily. none of them is even close to being fun. just endless hordes of enemies with no cover or anything and useless gating... it's simply extremely annoying to have a "boss" with like 500k HP but they are not even worth heavy because they are immune in a second...

2 通の返信Bungie: We're listening Community: Stop with all the BS immune shields Bungie: Ok we added immune shields to all activities!

3 通の返信I will say this about First Descendant. Boss immunity mechanics were a huge pain point/gripe and the devs have already listened and taken steps to address it.

1 返信There's a reason The Game Director Joe Blackburn got humiliated by an Overload Champ, Bungie does not play their own game. And if they do, it's patrol at best. If the literal person in charge of the game is this bad imagine everyone below.

1 返信Yeah I'm getting sick and tired of bosses in almost every activity having immune phases/shield mechanics. Not every boss has to have them like the Lost sectors in the Pale Heart or every mission(I think,Can't remember exactly) in The Final Shape campaign. It doesn't make it feel fun in my opinion.
-
1 返信There's just too many of them. Far too many. Pale Heart lost sectors are irritating to clear for what they are meant to be. But nothing is more annoying than a bullet sponge of a boss that goes immune. I'd wonder how they forgot to make an encounter but all those people who knew must've been laid off.

I miss the time when hitting a damage threshold, the boss would just teleport away or do something special like a mechanic. Look at Navota (Omnighul clone), that is how it should be handled. The boss fight isn't tedious, it has on and off-times for dealing damage to the boss which feel more natural. And then we have stuff like Battlegrounds where bosses become just immune with their "I'm special now"-shield... It is getting boring. Bungie, be more creative.

3 通の返信Immunity shields should be much more rare. If the developers want us to not damage the boss so fast, they should just teleport away like the Kell Echo in Prophecy, or run away like Bracus Zahn in the Arms Dealer strike. Lore wise it doesn't make sense, why do all these enemies have immunity shielding but the City or Guardians can't figure out how to generate them for their own usage? Logically it doesn't make sense that they can fire through their own shielding if no other weapon can. Instead they can rapid fire their weapons through it and harass you while you do whatever mechanic you need to lower it. There have to be plenty of alternatives to this, but making nearly every boss enemy with an immune shield is becoming very dull and feels uninspired.

It honestly feels like they have no ability to adjust difficulties so they just cap power, turn off radar, spawn waves of enemies behind you and give so many enemies one shot abilities. It's not fun, it's not challenging, it's just cheap.

1 返信nonchalantoneにより編集済み: 7/18/2024 11:01:06 PMThey did this on purpose..to SLOW down gameplay, and keep us logged in longer. Noticed other things of this nature also. Like character dialogue that goes on forever. Just other little things to keep us playing longer. This game was make or break for them, so of course they have to drag everything out. Same with time gating. Just ridiculous at this point.

1 返信Tell that to all the players that kept on crying and saying the game was “too easy” now they just implement insane things all for the sake of satisfying those players that want the game to be harder. I believe at one point you just gotta take what you can get and just accept that maybe you’re just super good at the game and you have the beat build and your fire team is great too. I believe thats pretty much the point of any game including darksouls games. Play long enough and get enough loot to make the game a bit easier for you. Once you’ve gained skill and mastery you enjoy how much your hardwork has paid off….. instead some destiny players cant see this and desperately ask for more as if they want a boss that’s impossible to beat. At some point you just think maybe these people have nothing else going on with their lives but destiny so in order to feel greatly achieved, they need more challenges in the one thing they do.

2 通の返信Here is the real reason for health gates. They need them to balance the skill gaps. If they didn't great players will built up kits would trivialize everything and then would put must have x, y, and z in any kind of LFG. Thats a massive pain point and has been since D1Y1. If they up the health to compensate for power creep and keep the good players in check than the bottom 90% of players who more casualy play wouldn't have a prayer of killing anything. Then they would come to these forums and state Bungie only caters to the elite and everything is unfun. Either way its a lose lose feom bungies perapective but ho gates makes sure regardless of how much prep time players have to sink into it before you get to that boss that everyone is more likely to have a simalar experience. I love a good boss bake but when your done your left with a that was it? Type feeling.

4 通の返信Boss gets melted fast: "No challenge, bad design, GG 2 EZ" Boss is a bullet sponge: "Artificial difficulty, bad design, boring" Boss has health gating: "Lazy design, boring, y u no let me shoot boss" Lots of complaints, no suggestions. Yawn.

Make it in windows, like WR boss Stop the hard health gates, have a window if a team is good enough to pour out enough burst dps in seconds to kill them , if not , they have to jump through the hoops Like we used to do with Skolas on Arc Burn with 4th horsemen , in 30 seconds totally skipping the mechanics, or the Riven "Cheese" with cluster bomb rockets(back when they were good) Which is why Bungie made the Oryx fight so much better in D2, no more of requiring 4 rotations minimum, allowing a traditional dps phase with weapons, good teams will 1 phase him , same with Crota, only using the sword to stun him Imagine the Atraxs fight, if you had to kill every copy of her to clear the encounter , that's how D1 Oryx felt
