Oh, now I finally get why Clarity was used. I understood the need for the Vex (particularly the Radiolaria. They are Hivemind, and thus, each individual cell acts like a neuron. I even understood why you needed to wipe the memory of the Exos, but I never understood Clarity. Thought it had to do with helping keep the Mind intact while wiping the memory)
(Keep in mind its Science Fiction for what im about to say)
It makes sense that a hivemind liquid would help in this situation for Exos considering they were practically losing their mind. The vex exist in that state but as we have seen radiolaria is dangerous in the lore. They essentially use clarity control to neutralize it.
Though what we dont know is why/how this works.
We know the statue is that of the dissenters so why does this statue create this effect? Because radiolaria is the vex what would you really call the radiolaria after the Clarity Control process? Would you still consider it Vex? Would it be the same as a human being brain dead and us using the brain as a conduit?
There are definite questions but what we know is how radiolaria is related to Exos and honestly im interested how in the seasonal story Failsafe is aware that Exos contain Radiolaria as it seemed at the time that would be well hidden information within Bray Tech. So why would this Golden Age AI know this? Was it common place knowledge? I personally assumed it not to be since this revelation came in Beyond Light with the lore books.

From my understanding, Fail Safe caught up on all the information since we last saw her, including any reports relating to Raids, like that of the Deep Stone Crypt, and by extension, how Exos were made. Unless she made a comment about Radiolaria within the Exos before we see her start to catch up with the events that have transpired.

Like how we saw the cutscene of the witness and a year later the vanguard find out about the witness with mara sov saying that they are seeing the witness. I genuinely dont even remember how i got the lore books that explain the process.

The relationship between the Vex Radiolaria and Exos/Deep Stone Crypt was vital to understanding strikes like Glassway. For those that forget the initial story version, Eramis activated the Vex Portal initially constructed by Clovis Bray for harvesting Radiolaria in order to divert it to the Crypt for use in the new Eliksni Exo experiments and to allow the Vex to swarm Europa and buy her time as we rushed to stop it.

The best way to view it is that Raids are simply Vanguard Operations on a larger scale. (6 instead of 3). Post completion of a Raid, vanguard operatives, like the Hidden will go in and glean all the information they can. It’s part of the reason why we have the Books of Sorrow. Marco (iirc) was a Mortal Hidden Operative with the instructions to transport the remains of Rhulk. He died after being infected with Rhulks remains after crashing his sparrow. He blew up the core of his sparrow, seemingly setting off a Nuke. My point is that certain information that is recorded within the Raid is available to the Vanguard post completion of the raid, thus all our knowledge on Rhulk. Personal PoVs like what happened with Marco may not be as well known due to a lack of actual recordings of the events (thus we know of the events, even if the Vanguard does not) It’s why we may know, as the player, about the Cult of Nezerec, but the Vanguard might not. Or why we knew what the Witness looked like long before the Vanguard did, despite Assa giving us that Information through Sloan. As for the Cutscenes, the Paint Splotch one of the Precursors was not an actual vision, but more so just artistic expression on Bungies Part. What Assa was doing to Sloan at the time of the Cutscene was essentially what she had been doing prior in that season. Ie, the Cutscene itself does not exist, but the information we got from it does. Thus why the Vanguard did not know what the Witness looked like but knew of the Witness. There is also the fact that we the Guardian, are by all means, a Vanguard Operative.
