Why is it that when people cry the hardest, stuff in pvp always gets nerfed?
Instead of nerfing they could buff titan and warlocks prismatic kits abit so they are in line with hunters?
Why does the fun always have to be taken out of this game?

The. “Fun” isn’t when you use the most powerful or do the most powerful thing. The fun is when you are of high enough skill and level that you can min max and make powerful builds, yet still be challenged by the content.

Power creep is why. As a hunter player in pvp prismatic hunter is really strong. The "crying" might be justified. The clone alone does too many things, pings radar, spawns threadlings and it's an aim assist black hole making it a reliable source for cover. It pinging radar is fine, smoke bomb does that too. It spawning threadlings also isnt that bad, its more annoying in the strand subclass but in prismatic its not the worst. The biggest problem is the aim assist/hit box of the clone. If you're in a gun fight with a hunter and they clone dodge your chances of winning that gun fight has gone down significantly even if you are the better shot and you shot them first. I've won so many fights that I had no business winning just by using the clone as cover. I would suggest a change to the way the aim assist works on the clone instead of it being an aim assist blackhole for the whole duration the clone is out, tone down the aim assist and turn it on just for the beginning of the clones duration, similar to how tether works where it messes with your aim when the tether connects but you get it back (and more often than not kill the hunter who tethered you). That way the clone can be more like a decoy instead of what it is now and if its going to be more decoy like maybe it doesnt need to spawn threadlings at base (make that new exotic the only source for threadlings on the clone). Swarms seem fine it's just in combination with smoke bomb it's a deadly combo but two abilities did get used, so maybe change the uptime on them. Either a cooldown increase or make them not last as long on the field.

Its one of the reasons why everyone has a kneejerk reaction when even mentioning nerfs. Young ahamkara's spine Starfire Protocol Heart of inmost light Ward of Dawn Osteo Striga Deadman's Tale All victims of going overboad with nerfs.

1 返信Because it’s called game “balance” not game “everything only gets better” Balance, by its definition, requires you to make adjustments in all areas in order to have everything be relatively even. Bungie has a specific power level they want players to be at in order for encounters to function with some level of challenge. So to meet that, they buff the weaker things and nerf the overly strong things. They’re not perfect in their execution, but asking only for buffs all the time is crazy and dumb.

3 通の返信Because we don't want power creep taking an Alaska-sized dump on our game. That's why. Fun =/= buffs. Fun =/= nerfs. Balance changes =/= fun. Also crying about other people's crying will never not be the dumbest form of crying.

1 返信It's easier. That's it. Whole story right there. Balance and change a lot of things to bring them up to par? Ooooor just cut the OP weapon damage in half and call it good. They'll ALWAYS take the easiest, most profitable route.

Because, unfortunately, buffing everything can cause as many problems as nerfing everything. What we need is a middle ground on balance, which Bungie sucks at--big time. Most of the time, their nerfs are the equivalent of a sledgehammer to the kneecaps, or a bullet in the foot. They hardly ever add anything to compensate for the nerfs. Young Ahamkara's Spine and Starfire Protocol are a testament to that. Both of those got massive nerfs, with nothing added to them to really balance them out.

I'm glad I didn't buy TFS and still have access to pvp only and can raise season rank, probably will wait till all 3 episodes are out and see what the true expansion is. Fomo doesn't mean anything in destiny anymore

"Always" ????? With a statement like this....You've obviously not been paying attention to changes over the past decade. You should know by now these things run in cycles. Bungie moves the meta around....be it weapons or builds. Sometimes it's not about "meta" but about on - field math. For example.....Titan mains no longer have exclusive rights to CQ benefits. We both know that's true. So.....adapt. It's good for you. Keep you fresh instead of stale & predictable.

8 通の返信Part of the problem is what you pointed out. PvP. Constantly feels like all of Bungie's nerfs have been because of PvP and some like the nerf to YAS harm the main side of the game, the PvE side. PvP will never be a balanced sandbox because of two things. A mix between exploitive playstyles and player skill. Honestly Bungie should just forget the crucible at this rate and actually start improving their game. One way would be reverting around at least 90% of the nerfs they have made over the years.

Because nerfing is alot easier than real balancing Balance is nothing being unbeatable by something else, the way Bungie does it , they just keep cuting the tallest weeds, resulting in an endless meta cycle

2 通の返信If they released a gun tomorrow that had a total TTK of 0.1 seconds the solution to that problem isn't to make every gun kill in a similar time frame, it would be to reduce the effectiveness of that one weapon since it's such a wild outlier. Same logic applies to Prismatic Hunter. It's such a wild outlier that buffing everything around it to its level isn't feasible or healthy for the game. Like how the solution to Khvostov isn't making everything else as good as Khvostov.
