This here was a design decision that killed destiny's potential in the name of greedy management wanting to rule the world. Remove half the game, filter it back over the next 4 years, freeing up 80% of the staff. Put those staff on 5-6 other hibernations & boom a 5-6 game studio funded by destiny. But they got it badly wrong, nearly went bust (again), alienated everyone & are now on the verge of not having control of their own studio

Yet people act like random mats, and glimmer they can get from just playing adds value
