You complain about not being able to obtain something but then you backtrack and say "I lack patience" while also stating that trying to find others to run a [b]multiplayer[/b] game activity with is a waste of time. Which is it? Do you want it or not? You will not be handed anything in this game or be able to change the fact that this is a game where playing with others is a requirement to get the full experience. You should've known what type of game you got yourself into before buying the dlc for it. I call bs on this entire post, Do not upvote this person. Ive been playing destiny since 2016 and this surge of complains over this is one of the dumbest things ive seen.

You (meaning anyone) freely purchased a prouduct classed as mmo, with well documented ten year history....and agreed to TOS. These are the facts. Bungie has, and will take certain license freedom with its creation. There is no breach or mislead in terms. Whether or not any individual finds satisfaction in this is something else. Questions of Bungie motivation vary. For me, I appreciate the social aspect focus in this iteration. It's more than I could have expected....and has been a pleasant surprise. Examples: toughest Contest mode Raid to date immediately followed by well received epic campaign finale for the masses (while honoring player request for match made 12). Pale Heart space as stand alone unique offering where you can solo, fireteam, or match make. Exotic class item which is soloable to a point if you choose, followed by team of two requirement. In practice, a fair portion of Destiny content is not soloable for most players, although the option to do so has been historically available for the most part. Where would Dual fall even if a solo queue version were available?......that's a hypothetical for debate and no conclusive answer. A recent example would be Outbreak Perfected, which is reported by light.gg (just one readily available metric source) to have been discover by just 2.34% of guardians. Comparatively speaking......if a proposed Dual solo queue were to yield a similar 2% discover rate, there wouldn't be much of an argument to be found against implementing 2s in Dual..... In any matching instance, this would take into account various barriers (excapt skill level) including accessibility for individuals with certain impairments. The Beta in-game LFG is a good example, accounting for title options including greeting / goals. Tags including deaf, hard of hearing, color blind, visual impairment....and more. Languages. Mic/no Mic....etc. Yes, LFG exists for Dual. As an offering for 2s.....is it so wrong / difficult to view this as a positive? I view this as a gap bridging and/or alternate experience opportunity. 2s have been interesting in PvP lists....and you'll also find them solicited in the LFG for things other than Dual. This shouldn't be so much about complaints....which comprise most of the input on this board. At the end of the day this comes down to communication and relationship, just like the rest of life.....even if it is just for an hour or two with other players via _____ (fill in the blank) avenue. You are correct. They sold the prismatic subclass to us based on this exotic class item because it was obvious Prismatic would need help to have an acceptable amount of synergy and usefulness to make it the new hotness that would cause people to buy the DLC. They said it would be available through the campaign. But it's not available through the campaign, is it? It's a hidden quest like Sleeper Simulant in D1. The swords in D1 are an example of exotics available "through the campaign". The problem is that there is a disconnect at Bungie. They keep thinking "We need to figure out ways to make solo players socialize in game". Problem being, solo players don't play games to "socialize" or "be part of a team" or in any way take orders on how to play. Solo players have a real life. I don't have a problem doing quests with a friend and I have a headset and a mic, but this game has constantly run off players. It's a revolving door. A quest like this should be for a really great exotic weapon like Sleeper was in D1. .. not an item that will make or break a subclass that was sold as a reason to buy a DLC. They got it wrong. The golden gun sniper or the exotic secondary sword should have been at the end of this quest and the class item should have been at the end of one of those two quests. Not to mention the bug where I have the prismatic subclass and completed the entire campaign and yet I can't do the quest because the game says I haven't communed with light and dark.

I've gone from bored to starting to feel hopeful to pissed and back to bored in a week. And no, I didn't "play it too much". I ran one character through the campaign, the exotic missions, the weapon missions, Excision, and Overthrow plus explored the Pale Heart. There is very little fun to be had here. All that good work all those people did building those locations only for it to be ruined by the game director and those above him. Sad. Pathetic, really. In a month or two there will be another "we can do better" video and Sony will likely take over before the year is out. Bad job, Bungie. Bad job. Those PC Gamer reviews don't fool me. They rated Lightfall high too. Bungie paid for those soft reviews.

What kills me, is it was literally advertised with the release of TFS, WITHOUT any mention of this being a "Duo activity". It's like they sold the lie, then dropped the truth after that $$$ came in. I cannot speak for others, and never will. But I will never purchase another thing from them again.

Well the negative reaction to this ridiculous idea of a quest is phenominal, and the streamers have cottoned on and are beginning to report it on their channels. Hopefully Bungie will do a U turn on it, cos we know how influential streamers are.

It’s unfortunate, however it seems like this is something solo players are just going to have to put up with. Terrible idea from Bungie’s side, but it is what it is. Hopefully you get a decent roll quickly.

This reminds me of the class glaives that no-one bothered with as the rng was bs and it was a slog to get them. Bungie saw this and then added them all to the board to go and collect. We just need to not go and do the stupid mission and let the elites haves -blam!- as they are the only ones to have. Maybe Bungie will wake up then.

You're solo by choice. Choice. It's ENTIRELY your problem. The consequences of your choice, is that you don't get a class item. Hope this cleared some stuff up for ya.

The long term? This is year 10 of a 10 year plan, how much longer you want them to look? Lol Also, the item is only as good as the roll you get. Since it's the only exotic you can wear, if you get a 'bad' roll, you probably won't wear it, and still be just fine.
