I Can't Spend My Legendary Shards Fast Enough
No, I'm not going to spend an hour spending them on over 3,000 phantasmal fragments one by one. That's horribly boring and a waste of time, as well as too much inventory space used.
I've been trying hard to spend them, getting down to about 32k, but the next thing I know, I stop for a moment and I reach back up to 35k.
Bungie, please. I know you don't like it when veteran players hoard things, but if you reward players a sprinkle of something for participation but never give that player a good incentive to spend that something, of course it's going to build up over time. These shards are a manifestation of the time we as players have invested. Can we PLEASE get some reasonable way to spend them before they vanish?
EDIT: For those who are telling me basically "to just spend them" I have to say that I HAVE been. Did you not read the title of this thread? Months ago when the announcement was made, I started trying to spend them up. I was sitting around 60k. I'm now about 33k and rising. At this rate, it's not going to happen.

1 返信If you havs a large amount of Shards, like over 10 or 20k , then you are not using them on a regular basis So basically you are holding on to something for no reason Do you count the dust particles you sweep out of your house ?

3 通の返信Your in luck, because phantasmal fragments cost 10 legendary shards not 1. Also you've had 6+ months to spend your shards, you should have spread out your spending accordingly like I did.

But as others have said you’ve had months, and by the looks of your post you just want an easy yet rewarding shard dump. Which you also know doesn’t exist. So either spend them like we are, or don’t.

I had 97K Legendary shards before I started converting on the moon to fragments. I bought some raid banners too. I'm down to 12k Legendary shards. It sucks that they are going away, but -blam!--ole has to increase the grind whatever way they can. That's what they do best.

Soundwaveにより編集済み: 5/8/2024 5:50:27 PMWait till Banshee sells a weapon that can be dismantled for an enhancement core. Sometimes Cheeseforever on youtube posts vids when Banshee does. Usually it's the lunalata that bugs out and drops with a higher masterwork level. I went from almost 100k shards down to 16k by doing this. EDIT: I know even this is time consuming but unfortunately it's really the only worthwhile way to get rid of them.

1 返信I can’t figure out how these things were a problem in the first place. I spend them and then happen to glance at them while in my inventory screen, and I have all that I spent and more back a week later. Sitting around 47k

I went from 44k shards to 13k when they announced they would remove it for good. So I went on to spend it as much as I could, and somehow I'm back at 42k -__- I delete most of my loot because there hasn't been anything better than what I have to replace what I have now that im using. Shoot, I even masterworks all of my weapons in the vault, lol. That's why I never understood when they were saying that vets and regular players have an abundance, and we need to even the grounds for new players and casuals. Even though they just want us grinding more again. They need to give us something we can exchange these shards, whether it be cores or the golf balls. I don't even care about the price. They can make it 100 shards for 1 core lol, just give us the damn chance to do so.

Said this months ago when they anounced it was not fair veteran players ahd so many shards and new players had none. Give me something worth while to spend them on and I would spend them. Dance moves - BIG NO! new sparrow - YES Ships - YES emotes - NO shaders - maybe, very much depends on how they look focusing an exotic - yes converting a weapon to a red bar - YES Bungie does not care if they take something away you worked for! In fact they put more than half the game into a content vault, sun set all you weapons and gear.

2 通の返信When i found out they were being deprecated i had nearly 30k. I spent down to 7k on phantasmal whatevers. Now i have nearly 20k again. Oh well. Im gonna laugh if they get rid of the option to trade in phantasms for glimmer. Probably also make us delete them one by one like the horrible offerings from season of the witch.

I spent every last shard at the end of last season based on how Bungie stated they were no longer being used at vendors, then found out you still needed them for upgrading gear and Xur this season. Since then I am sitting at over 7,000 and will once again spend every single one upgrading all the gear in my vault and spending the rest on Phantasmal Fragments at the Lectern. They aren't really difficult to acquire if you are sharding most drops like you should, only keeping the best ones. It just is a pain to have them and not use them on something before they leave permanently.
