Need to get attention to this, I haven't had a single match thats playable yet. Unloading full clips into people just for them to teleport around and I end up dead somehow. The lag shouldn't favour those with crap internet

Why are you assuming none of us have clips? I dont have slow internet (1 TB down / 500 MB up) and have reported numerous clans for have trash their internet has been. I have that many example clips that i am literally spoilt for choice. Your comment doesnt add any value, nor is it helpful.

I see posts like this every day, but never any proof, and I’m sorry but “I have proof somewhere else” rings pretty hollow. Also, what the hell do you mean you’ve reported entire clans for their internet being slow? What do you even think you are saying?
-
I am saying that I have clips showing various clans exhibiting this very behavior. Its very coincidental when Ive seen two or three people in the same clan, all lagging their -blam!- off, whilst everyone else is not lagging? Its so stupid trying to plan Banner to the point where your not actually playing and more shooting at players 'glitching' all over the map.

You’re reporting people for lag? That has to be the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard. You as an end user in a peer to peer environment have no way of knowing who in the match is causing lag. You’re just sending out random reports, and making Bungie’s job that much more difficult.
-
So if I set up a port mirror, captured all bi-directional traffic (rx/tx) to and from my PS5? then would these please the court? As an engineer who has worked on WAN's (ISP) and Cloud infrastructures, I have a clear understanding on how networks work so please refrain from being condescending. 1 - Reporting a Bad Connection is an option, why have the option there if you can't use it 2 - We have all paid an ridiculous amount of time and money on this game. One would think that the money we have spent on this game over 10 years of it existing that Bungie would have invested in dedicated servers rather than use the Peer-to-Peer model they opted into. 3 - What other option do we have outside of reporting? we have no real mechanisms other than reporting and posting on this forum in the hopes that Bungie actually a) reads this feedback b) takes any real action.

You could act like an adult and get over it, use games to have fun instead of finding something meaningless to complain about because apparently life doesn’t suck enough already for you and you need to also poison your escapism.
-
I do play games for fun I try and also have fun on Crucible with my friends by no one is having fun when every other scum bag is lagging. Get over it? who are you even to suggest anything? You dont add any value to this conversation what so ever other than telling people to grow up? I dont know you and I dont need to do anything according to a nobody who knows nothing
-
Sure dude, go report peoole for lagging on a peer to peer network which wouldn’t give you any way of knowing where the lag was coming from, while lying out your butt and pretending to be an internet specialist. You wouldn’t be reporting random people for something that isn’t their fault if you knew anything about the subject dude.

For a guy who seems to know everything you sure like to assume things yourself The only real way to tell to some degree is to run packet captures and check who is saturating the environment. If we had any real proof, would that change your perspective? probably not.. because you know everything already

Thats crazy but I also had that issue when my ISP set my speed to 5mb instead of the usual 400. I was dumping full mags headshots and nothing connected unless the enemy player stood relatively still They fixed it and its been great. My shots register. So I just wanted to say if ur having this issue almost every match there is a very high chance your connection could use a hard reset and a call to your isp. Also pvping on 5mb connection (500kb download) is almost impossible and u will get reported for network manipulation

So a thing you probably don't know, but all online multiplayer games advise you have 05 to 1mb download, destiny is much higher at 3-4mb recommended, 5mb will definitely not get you reported lol. Most of the worlds internet is lower than 5mb. Where are you from? I'm UK n I get 40mb n that's the fastest available in my area, my provider offers 100mb but only 3% of the UK is full fibre, my area has copper piping house to hub, fibre hub to hub. N the UK has 1 of the best internet infrastructures in Europe. I'm yet to see an Italian who doesn't teleport, I read about it, only like 1% of Italy has fibre, the rest is like 3rd world internet. Location is also key, population in Europe for destiny is -blam!-, we nearly always match Asia/middle east/Russia. I used to use netduma to see my lobbies when I was on PSN & the majority of my lobbies where those places, so just 4500 miles away & 2-3 oceans between us, send pings into high 3 figures. Whereas USA has by far the biggest player base, & it's a solid land mass, also close to Canada & Mexico.

Ray92により編集済み: 5/1/2024 3:43:11 PMNetherlands, pretty flat and densely populated The 400 is through copper but we have fiber too now UK is a much harsher environment i bet to lay cables, have heard the same from Italy But yeah 5mb was like impossible for me to pvp with and i tried but i went from 2-3kd to just negative and would have “contacting contacting” all the time And the reason I said reported because I was also getting shot at and they had issues killing me Probably cuz i was rubberbanding for them Onslaught was possible but alot of people crashed when i made the fireteam finder with the 5mb connection Edit : yeah especially at odd times the eu population is rly low at night etc and u get matched with alot of asian gamers

You're right near Germany, I used to have a very good friend from Holland & we always got German towers. Germany is the 1 country in Europe that's very heavy populated for destiny. People forget the UK is a tiny island compared to most big countries, so the internet is fine, but once you start going further afield it struggles. I tested my pings & to the UK it's like 3 ping, Europe nearest to us, so France/Germany/Spain it's 35 ping, but once we get to outer Europe like Russia it tips 100 ping, middle east, I'm looking at 400. I actually stopped playing PvP when I was on PS4 because my lobbies where primarily middle east & the teleporting was obscene. Xbox is much more stable & connections where so much better, then cross play happened & ruined everything. I've no issues in any game ever, just destiny, & even that's not that bad, it's just bad enough to make me not want to play PvP.
