You’re talking about having to make adjustments once a season vs having to make adjustments every time you change subclasses 😂
I’m still failing to see this “downsides” you speak of. If you don’t want it to save artifact selections (which makes no sense), leave them blank when you save them.

I am talking about having to redo and resave every loadout every season. I am fairly certain you have no idea how the artifact works. The main reason that weapons and abilities, and also the extra slot on artifice armor have been unavailable after a new season starts is because of the new artifact.
They simply reworked the seasonal mod system and simplified the way players interact with the seasonal mods. You are now seeking to complicate this system with having multiple saves tied to the loadout system.
Simpler is better. Obviously you just found out how to save loadouts without weapons, don’t push your luck. It’s a recipe for problems. If anything they should allow you to change artifact mods in the same column by clicking on them, that would be hard enough.

I’ve never bothered to know or figure out how to save loudouts without saving weapons perks because I wouldn’t want to do that in the first place. If I’m swapping to a boss damage load out, I want that spec on without having to go in and manually change it before and after every time. So I actually LIKE having that.
Your only complaint is that you’ll have to resave your loudouts ONCE per season. Boo friggin hoo. Compared to how much time this change would save, and the added utility it would provide for the large majority of players, I have zero sympathy for you based on this nit pick complaint.
