Create more problems imo. That means you have to redo each load out each season. I am always in the artifact anyway to change champion mods. Also to change for solo runs of activities. What they need to do is keep loadouts to just armor and armor mods. Leave weapons and everything else out of it so I can get the base build I want loaded.

  • Also, as suggested by someone else on this thread, if you want armor saved only, save it with any weapons you plan on dismantling, save the loadout, then dismantle the weapons. Then they will say “some items on this loadout are unavailable”.

  • You already have to redo a loadout any time you change ANYthing as is. With this, you only have to save it once, unless you want to change something. And you needing to be in your artifact constantly making changes is exactly what I’m talking about. If it saved your artifact choices to a loadout (make one for running solo?), you wouldn’t need to do that. As for weapons, you can save them (or not save them) to any loadout however you want to. So, it’s great for if you want one spec for one activity, and a different one for another.

My builds center around exotic armor. Everything revolves around that. I already have to delete or infuse the guns on my loadout as is. An extra step. I have five sub classes. I save my builds around the exotics tied to them…for the most part. My lucky pants build can lean into several subclasses. I know exactly what artifact changes I need. I have to change them anyway. Saving artifact settings sounds great, for people who only run a few activities and can save builds for them. When you run every activity the game offers it is easier to save basic builds for each subclass and tweak what you need for the nightfall or raid. Takes ten seconds. Saving artifact setting will invariably mean changing them anyway at some point.

  • Yes, but having to change them MUCH less often. You already change yours for every activity. This would lessen that necessity, and I definitely don’t see how this change would make anything MORE difficult.

I remember losing a slot on my artifice armor from leaving seasonal mods socketed. I get you want to quick swap artifact mods mid activity, but even the potential problems negate any modest benefit. The only way this would not create problems is if the artifact itself had a place to save four configurations. Edit: even then it would probably be problematic. We have several seasonal artifacts from past seasons now. The potential downside far outweighs ten to twenty seconds of benefit.

  • You’re talking about having to make adjustments once a season vs having to make adjustments every time you change subclasses 😂 I’m still failing to see this “downsides” you speak of. If you don’t want it to save artifact selections (which makes no sense), leave them blank when you save them.

I am fairly certain you have no idea how the artifact works. The main reason that weapons and abilities, and also the extra slot on artifice armor have been unavailable after a new season starts is because of the new artifact. They simply reworked the seasonal mod system and simplified the way players interact with the seasonal mods. You are now seeking to complicate this system with having multiple saves tied to the loadout system. Simpler is better. Obviously you just found out how to save loadouts without weapons, don’t push your luck. It’s a recipe for problems. If anything they should allow you to change artifact mods in the same column by clicking on them, that would be hard enough.

  • I’ve never bothered to know or figure out how to save loudouts without saving weapons perks because I wouldn’t want to do that in the first place. If I’m swapping to a boss damage load out, I want that spec on without having to go in and manually change it before and after every time. So I actually LIKE having that. Your only complaint is that you’ll have to resave your loudouts ONCE per season. Boo friggin hoo. Compared to how much time this change would save, and the added utility it would provide for the large majority of players, I have zero sympathy for you based on this nit pick complaint. This post has 76 likes + comments, and you’re literally the only person that has an issue with it.
