Im asking for this since 2018 when they removed it and never even got one Bungie employee to just say yes or no. Its so frustrating because the game would greatly benefit from this small change.
back in the days where weapons was curated, or we had like 5 maybe 6 perks tops in each row, it was a lot more manageable to keep farming until you got the right masterwork, but most weapons these days have up to 12 perks in each column, and its a pretty well known fact that weapon perks are even weighted on weapons, to prolong the grind for the perfect roll.
so having to deal with
- twice as many perk options in each row
- weighted perks like pulse monitor and other bad perks to prolong the grind
- certain master works that can destroy a weapon like blast radius on the mountaintop which will lower it damage output quite drastically.
its just too many factors you have to deal with, and I think giving us the option to lessen the RNG checks in rerolling on Masterworks would be very fair.
For the right price of course, rerolling a masterwork, is not really something the average player would worry too much about, but for the true grinders I doubt we would bat an eye paying stuff like 40 spoilt of conquest and multiple shards and alloys and I doubt it would bother us in the slightest.
